I’m currently doing this kit but with the flame maple top version.. I had same issue with the stopbar tail piece. I got a cheap one of Amazon just so I could set it up(alignment etc) am completely replacing all the hardware.

Good call! I’d be more disappointed if I splurged for the flame maple version and got a poorly fitting bridge!

these guitar kits are glorified lego sets for adult men. the quality of the finished product depends on the amount of work you put into finishing them, so dont expect to just assemble it in an hour. you will most likely have to do some fretwork, you will have to adjust the nut slots, you have to intonate the saddles, and if you fuck it up when its time to paint it you will probably throw it in the trash. a standard les paul kit goes for anywhere from $100 to $200 on the high end, so i would suggest that people should only buy one of these kits if they are some sort of hands on craftsman types. it wont save you money when you can get a harley benton for the same price that will have a fit and finish beyond anything an inexperienced person could ever dream of doing to a kit guitar

Yep I agree! It’s really not worth the money unless you’re after the experience or a really specific spec sheet that only you could put together 🤷‍♂️
