Piston rods like to snap under load.. blow out the side of a block kinda thing... oil pump likes to give problems as well....

I just started to race some last year with a four cylinder 5 speed Honda civic do have any suggestions how i might get a little bit more and how I might run my exhaust just wondering

Most sanctioning bodies say you must run the exhaust back behind the driver. I'd check your rules. Go from there.

How much power can you get out of a quad 4

Depends on how deep your pockets are. The truth is, decent power can be had with a Quad 4 using OEM parts.

Forged Pistons, forged rods, head stud kit, mls headgasket would be a good starting point imo.

I know these videos are old but...would anyone know what size of connecting rod bearing one should order for stock replacement? '99 Cavalier Z24, 2.4L dual cam, all stock. All I can find are 0.25mm, 0.50mm undersized. Would either of these work/fit?

You'd need to have the crankshaft turned undersized for the .25mm or the .50mm bearings to fit. It's usually not too expensive and you would end up with journals that are perfectly sized.

@LD9user 😢 Car still runs, but haven't driven it since. My only mode of transpo. Lost job as result (live in farm country). Spent every last available $ addressing timing system and top end. As "cheap" as it may be, it's still beyond my means, leaving me still stranded.
