If I were making this I would probably add Minecraft Steve, I know at the time when this was made Steve wasn’t even revealed for smash but still, he’s such a massive gaming icon and my childhood, other than that though pretty good list

Inkling was added back in an editor note, plus, Star Fox is an stable in Super Smash Bros so it does deserved an second rep. While I do think Lucas could get cut because his game is locked in the USA, but I think it was big in Japanese which is Nintendo is from. Think you miss the point of biggest franchises when you realize Legend of Zelda is also an big series.

@@bandanan-zthatbandanaweari1121 Star fox isn't as big as it used to be, and even then I would go with wolf since he's an antagonist.mother doesn't need a second rep because it's to small and lucas sure as heck isn't recognizable outside of japan. and I know zelda is a big series but there are better choices then shiek imo. also shulk is bigger than all 3 of those characters, and I called them clones because even if they're semi clones I still feel like a smash bros reboot should try to have all of it's characters as unique as possible. I mean most of this is just my opinion but overall I kinda just feel like you focused more on giving multiple reps to other series and less on having as many series represented as possible

@@owenseaton672 I do understand where you’re getting at, I did say Lucas could be remove so I do agree with you. While I don’t really enjoy having Wolf then Falco, since I feel like Falco make more sense in my eyes I can see where you getting at. While Sheik isn’t the best option, it better then adding another Link, but I will say if we removing Young Link then Skull Kid would been perfect. Shulk is popular, but so is the other Nintendo icons he added, and even if Mr. Game and Watch isn’t really that popular, he still an important part of Nintendo. I feel like if the roster was expanding an little, Shulk would got in and I see what you getting at. Sheik isn’t an semi clone and I think Ness and Fox would get there moveset updated anyways in the next game so it would be perfect for Lucas and Falco to get those moves.

Would keep Mega Man over Ryu, and swap Joker for Simon. They’re way more associated with Nintendo, they’ll likely make more Persona games, anyways, and it’s not like there’s a shortage of fighting games where you can play as Ryu. Then again, Bomberman is pretty cool. Also yeah, add back Inkling. And maybe Shulk and Mr. Game & Watch.

The fact that people keep making videos like this just baffles me when this would never happen since Nintendo would be simultaneously cutting their sales in half if they cut the roster in half. All sakurai meant is that he can never do the “everyone is here” gimmick in a new game not that he’d be decimating the roster. That being said I think we’ll get a standard amount of cuts (around 12 including echoes, so I see dr Mario, piranha plant, pichu, young link, Corrin, lucina, dark pit, terry, joker, and sephiroth all going and then possibly incineroar and Roy but those to a less likely degree. At the end of the day dr Mario needs to become a pallet swap end of discussion
