this was so fun to see! i never knew about the boom of public education in america was partly due to sears :0 also im pretty sure the "wall hole" room is meant to say "well hole"? it makes sense to me that thered be a place for a well since indoor plumbing only started becoming common in the 1930s :> no hate, i just think these history-ish vids are rlly neat and get caught up in how ppl in the past lived lol

You should definitely have a look at some of the duplex and multi-family homes that Sears offered. They were never popular: it has always been a symbol of wealth to own a single family home. The model 154, Garfield, and 129 are just some of the duplexes they offered. The model 130 and Atlanta both contained four apartments, 2 per floor. The floor plans differed slightly, and both feature an opening in the center of the plan called a "light shaft" with windows to let more light in.
