The Kenner Death Star playset was one of my childhood holy grails, but I would have been just as happy with the Palitoy version. For being cardboard, it was truly impressive. Thanks for sharing!

This playset was also released here in Australia and a lot of kids I knew had it and demolished it through play, being cardboard these things would not last. But it was a brilliant design for so many endless play scenarios and continued adventures with all your characters. I picked mine up about 10 years back and absolutely adore it. It just pops as a display piece. If you don’t have one, do yourself a favour……hunt one down 😂

I have the fondest childhood memories of this absolutely brilliant playset. So many adventures. It would be amazing if someone with access to a 3D printer made a plastic version. I would buy it ! 😁

Great video Joey! I still have my Death Star, it's loose and it's seen better days but it's complete! NB: the gun turret canopy came completely clear, they go nicotene-y orange with age and exposure to light. Mine spent nearly 30 years in a bag tucked into a closed wardrobe so my canopy is practically mint clear. It's a little bonus as the rest is a little...careworn. Hey, it saw some hard action back in the day! Frankly, I'm surprised I didn't blow it up with fireworks or something, that was the fate of my Action Force Roboskull, which I regret to this day. 😔🤣👍

This was an exceptionally well crafted & very creative playset. Way better than its American counterpart in my opinion. I would have been a bit nervous putting that together as well. Cardboard + Age typically isn't ideal, but it came together well & would look fantastic put together on display (if you ever have the room). I appreciate you walking us though the set up as well as reviewing all the individual pieces & rooms. I love this set & hope to one day include it in my personal collection. Congrats on acquiring such a nice & complete example Joey.

The jawa on the box could have broken down the Death Star and sold the parts in less time it took Luke to blow it up! Another great episode, Joey. I will use it as a guide when I get my Death Star playset some day!

If you first look at the Palitoy Death Star play set it looks cheap. But when you explore all the parts and look at the details on the walls and floor you will appreciate this set's beauty and historical value.

Thats would be a great idea! If I had a 3D printer and knew how to use it well, it would be something I'd try. That and make stickers that look like the designs on the panels. @@thepadawancollectorofficial
