You're absolutely right, darlin'. These feelings are completely normal. Motherhood, though rewarding, can be incredibly jarring, especially the first time around. You're not prepared for how much of yourself you sacrifice. Slowly, with time and as they get more self reliant, you have more freedom to come back to yourself, often finding you're a different person in many big ways. I'm 42, my son's 12, and I lost my mom to cancer 14 years ago. I then lost the love of my life, my husband and father of my son, very suddenly 5 years ago. Shit happens and some wounds never fully heal. I miss them both daily. I think of them both daily. However, our lives continued, and so, we keep on keepin' on. What other choice do we have, really? You're doing a remarkable job, Luv, and I LOVE hearing you give yourself props for being a good mama ❤

I think this video was one the most relatable videos you’ve done. I think the end of your 20s going into your 30s is an interesting time and overwhelmingly. There is so much about life that most people have experienced with so much change constantly happening the perspective is different.

Great to see you back babe. You got me into dark romance heavy 2 years ago. I was going through a tough time in my life and found my love for reading. You’re one of the first “booktubers” i got all my recommendations from and i just genuinely love how real you are. Keep going, can’t wait to have your book in my hands in the future. ❤️

So sorry for your loss! I’ve been watching your videos since 2019/2020 I believe. I m 36 yrs old and I have two kiddos 12 and 16 yrs old. And I can only say that I was one of those moms who completely lost herself to motherhood also. And now when I look back on it I feel so grateful today, I am feeling better than ever before. I feel like my old self only better, more secure, more confident and not caring much abt others opinions of me. I feel free. Trust me, it is only going to keep getting better and better.

Im sorry for your loss! Thank you for just being real, and I agree with you that all moms have those same feelings. So glad that you are back and I’ll always support your channel no matter what the content is that you share. I’ve only read the first Magnolia Parks book and didn’t jump right in to second book. I’ve been reading The Edge of Darkness trilogy, the first book is called Insatiable, and it was so good. I highly recommend if you haven’t read it. I couldn’t put it down but it is very dark.

Welcome Back. You have been missed. So sorry to hear about your loss! As someone who has lost someone close to them, it is life-altering and hard as heck! Hope you and your family are doing well. I love these chit chat grwm videos or whatever you put out. Ooooh, I understand the 20 min writing sessions. I am an aspiring writer myself and yeah I can't sit that long writing even though I love it. I did not know Cora had a knew book coming out. I loved Sweet Temptation. I need to read her Born in Blood series.

My husband died when I was 36 and our son was 6. I found this book randomly at Target called The Last Love Note by an Australian author and it is based on h r life. She too lost her husband at 35 leaving her to raise their 5 year old son alone. She finds love again and I swear I think it's a sign. I've not attempted dating yet but I still think it means something

So sorry for yours and your partners loss Mary 😪 grief is shit, but it's the price of LOVE. I lost my younger brother in a motorbike accident in April, it tore our family apart, he was the baby of the family and he would have been 30 in Feb 25'. The grief is very hard at the start but you take each day as it comes. I've received so many "signs" since he passed, and it's so reassuring he's still around 💙 but always remember the good times and the funny times you had with your mother inlaw, laughter is the best medicine 💜 I loved this video and I'm so excited for your book, I would happily buy and read your book 🥰 much love to you Mary and I hope you always keep your YT channel going 💗

I have 6 kids. Yes. 6. My baby will be 2 in March. But there's a 7 year gap between him and my 2nd youngest. I completely understand how u feel. I'm 34 and the last 2 years I've just felt lost. With my older kids they were all back to back. Like each year a baby was born lol. But then we were in a routine. Everyone was in school. Everyone slept in their own beds. No one needed me to change their diapers. And then everything had to change. I love my baby and would not trade him for anything. He's never and I mean NEVER stayed with anyone but me. He's never even been home alone with his daddy. He always goes with me if I leave. Every night it's me and him while everybody else sleeps. And I don't think that I could even let him stay with someone. But I've just felt lost a little. Like who even am I anymore? Lol. I hope things get better for u and sorry for ur loss
