Let's Celebrate 70 Years of The Fender Stratocaster!

70 years is a long time, right? When you really think back to what has happened and how life has changed in the last 70 years, well, it’s crazy! We didn’t even have colour TV in the UK 70 years ago!
One thing the world did have, and continues to have, is the mighty Fender Stratocaster, arguably the greatest guitar of all-time. In 1954, Leo Fender and his team released a guitar that would change the world forever, a design so elegant, ergonomic and superior that it’s still the blueprint for countless players, and builders, 70 years later.
To celebrate this monumental occasion the folks over at Fender have put together this awesome Fender 70th Anniversary Stratocaster collection. In today's video we put one of our favourite examples to the test!

I wonder how much difference these v mod ii 70th anniversary pickups to the regular ones have? Apart from the name...

The APII with white guard has slim C neck and 9.5” radius

@dividedbytimestudios good call mate . But in the description on the page says the 70th anniversary v mod pickups and also in the video have been announced as "70th anniversary pickups: but if you see on the sticker from the guitar with the white pickquard says only v mod pickuos.

I don't think the guitar with the white pick guard is the anniversary edition. Fender doesn't show that as an option for the anniversary edition Stratocaster @@BOUZOUKISIGNIS

First introduced in '54, so the 70th anniversary is just now coming around next year.🙂

They look and sound good...but that deep D neck has got to go. What is with Fender, either they have nothing but a C or D neck or you get a great soft V but it has an unplayable 7.5 radius neck. Yikes! Just my 2 cents worth. Peace.

I got one of these shipped to me and the finish is no where near as nice, buyers beware you should ask for a photo of the one they are sending you.

I have a players made in Mexico and was expensive enough for me. And sounds no different than this 1. I would not spend double the money for and Anniversary strat. That's just crazy.
