What a good video. It’s very appreciated to see an artist that has mechanical aptitude sharing the ins and outs of the conversion to a carving bar.

Hey Kyle, great video again. I’ve watched it about five times. Two questions. Do you have a rule or some kind of diagram that tells you what the correct direction to do furring would be? Second question, on the Minwax helmsman clearcoat, are you using a gloss, semi gloss. or satin finish? I am really close to starting my first carving. I have all the equipment and all the gear that you have suggested. I just bought an MSA 140 for detailing and I will be using the 251 for blocking. Love watching your videos !Can’t wait to get started. I’m almost there. Last thing I need are chaps.

Thanks for the great video Kyle. Curious why you burn if you're going to paint?
@KyleHallwoodworker4 жыл бұрын
You’re welcome Sam . I burn for a couples reasons . If I change my mind on painting the. The piece is done but mostly to remove the fuzzy s in the wood grain and skip a lot of extra sanding

Why is there such a premium for the Cardinals on the Etsy store? Went from a reasonable $25-$35 to $50-$70 online.
@KyleHallwoodworker Жыл бұрын
Depends on if they are free shipping or not . Seems like we get better sales if we offer “free shipping “ but someone still have to pay the shipping . Plus the cost of everything is up . I mean to send a cardinal across the country is around $15-$20 sometimes. Plus time , and packing materials, to get it shipped out
