Thanks for showing us the difference paper can make, who knew? Right? I love the linen paper since you listed it in an earlier video. I also watch out for papers at yard sales, thrift stores, etc because I love finding older paper, the quality of older paper is amazing plus it’s already distressed! 😊

One of my favorite things to print on is vellum. I have the had excellent results with the Stampin’Up! brand. The weight is excellent to pass through the printer and the ink doesn’t smudge. The Epson ET printer is on my list of replacement items. Just hoping for a sale.

Great info on the paper...thank you! I have a ET-3760 and like yours it takes the same ink and produces hundreds of beautiful copies and last for a very long time! Yellow runs out first🤣

I have watched this twice. Unfortunately I could only “like” it once😂. So helpful. Picking up my printer today thanks to your video. Have been looking for one but this sealed the deal for me. Sold out every where but was able to locate an et4760 at our staples. So excited to start my journey with this printer. I will also be able to scan and copy😳. What? I can see my business flourishing. ❤️💃🏻

Great video! I wish I had it when I got into junk journals. I was frustrated until I figured out what a difference paper makes. I have an Epson ET-2760 which I love, though I too have to clean the print heads often. I use Red River premium matte double-sided in 32 lb the most. (They pack very well, so you will never have dinged corners either.) I also use a 60 lb cream cardstock, though I am not fully satisfied with it. I can't wait to go get some linen paper! TFS :)

I love the presentation paper. It also uses less ink when you print because it's a coated paper. Super vibrant prints! I am so happy with the amazing photo quality I can get from such a low-cost printer (I have an Epson Eco Tank 3710; love it!) Southworth also has some "natural" papers and higher cotton count papers that provide nice texture for different types of ephemera. I like to print on parchment paper also - gives a lovely aged look to maps or other background or collage papers. I will have to try the linen finish for wallpaper types of papers. Thanks for this comparison.

Red River is kinda famous in art circles for having amazing papers in a variety of textures. I love them. I forget the name of the one that has a “dappled” type texture, like a vintage handmade paper, but it gives a very authentic look to antique prints.

TY Heather. I've had the same experiences comparing papers. here's a new one for you. The brand of the white really matters a lot! I use and love HP Premium Papers, 32 lb, 100 brightness. It's just like presentation paper I think . The colors are vibrant and true. I bought another premium made for color paper by Hammermill, 23 lb. white 100 brightness, and yet it's slightly slightly cream/gray colored in comparison. The images on it lack depth, are not as true and the contrast is dull in comparison to the HP. If I only saw Hammermill's I'd probably think it was very nice, and it's certainly different than regular copy paper. But the colors are off. I was sure the brightness was going to be in the low 90s but no, it's 100 too. BTW, I'm Journal Breeze on IG. Stay safe!

I'm amazed at the difference paper can make! Thank you for sharing this, and for talking about the Epson EcoTank. I have a standard Epson and have been really happy with it, but am very interested in the EcoTank and had been looking at them in case I need to replace my printer. It's great to have input from someone who uses it for similar purposes - although I'm sure you print much more than I do! Love your digitals!

I have the earlier version of Epson - 2720. I believe that it prints well too. I did use up my one color in 6 months but I printed 1200 pages. Using Presentation paper or photo paper does use more ink. My current favorite paper is copy paper - 96 brightness - 24 lbs. I just bought the HP paper that you use so it may change my preference! If I like it, I'll be sure to check on Amazon for a better price - Staples prices are ridiculous. Thanks for the comparison. Now to look at your Etsy shop!!!

I love the linen paper. I have used it in my inkjet and my laser with great outcomes. When I got into creating digitals to sell, so many years ago lol, I was at the time offering them also as printed sheets, so tried a lot of papers and finally settled on the Hammermill presentation paper. I’ll have to give your presentation paper a try. I love your digitals and your journals so very much! Thanks for sharing Heather.

Love love love linen. Index is a smooth card stock alternative. So jealous of your 4700, it’s definitely the way to go. I have an epson large format printer. Use only Epson inks, yes head cleaning is a factor but I print a lot an d we are going on 6 years now. Eco tanks are definitely the way to go! On my smaller printer, I could pay for the eco tank with the money I spend on ink cartridges. Definitely the way to go!

I just found your channel and subscribed. I love your digitals. I also have a Eco Tank printer. It is ET-4760 and I love it. I also print a lot and I probably have to add inks about every 8 months or so but like you I probably print more then most people. I have found Wal-Mart to be the best price as far as price. I think I paid about $55.00 for a complete set and then when I filled it up I had ink left over. Not bad for $55.00 a year or so to not be concerned about how much I print. I also love the Epson matte presentation paper. I have not tried it but I have heard parchment paper in the Southworth brand is nice to print on. I will try that White Linen that looks really nice. Someone on KZbin the other day mentioned Hammermill color premium paper 32 ib paper and said it was really good so I thought I might give it a try. She did say it had to say color premium though. I would be interested to see if anyone else had tried it .

The linenpaper is absolutely amazing..it really looks like real wallpaper. I have so much Epson presentation paper but I never use it. I think the colors are to vibrate but I will try to print without the yellow and see if that helps. I live in Denmark so I don’t have the same option but I have tried a lot different kinds of paper but I use “ Image Compact” the pink one. And print on 100 G. This was a super informative and helpful video! I started using Southworth Linen per your recommendation and I love it. I have it in different weights and use them for different applications. I also recently thrifted some vintage Southworth "Business paper" and "Resume" paper, in the color Ivory and find that its a great color for printing vintage receipts and letterheads/anything with fonts and scripts. Particularly the business paper is good for those applications, because it has an ever so slight grain/texture that is the closest thing I've seen to what some of those beautiful old letterheads/documents/receipts were printed on way back when, it even has a watermark which just looks so cool with something printed on it! That presentation paper is WILD, wow! The differences you showed were pretty major! Thanks for doing all those side by side comparisons! ok off to go buy some presentation paper and an eco tank printer and ALL THE THINGZZZ

I will have to try that resume and business paper! Thank you so much for the tip! I always look at all of the southworth papers when I am in the store and never know which ones to try.. I also forgot to mention in my video that I like the southworth almond linen paper ... it is I think a 40lb and a very nice color. I use it for certain things. If you look on my instagram post comments someone recommended using newsprint paper.. they age it.. there is a reference to how to find it on Amazon. I am going to try that!

@@rubyandpearlxo oops I have to clarify, the thrifted business paper I found is by a brand called Eaton, which is also the brand of vintage onion skin paper i have (i get lucky with thrifted paper!) but Southworth probably has one too. The vintage resume paper I have is Southworth.

Hi Heather, thank you l love the look of the linen paper, I wonder if we can get it here in Australia. I’ve tried so many papers too, Epson paper is very expensive here so I’ve found another one that works well. I love my ecotank, mine is smaller but isn’t the ink refills fantastic. Thank you for sharing with us it really makes a difference in the colours, who would have thought. Take care 😊

Hi Heather! Thanks so much for this video! I had asked you about your printer in January on IG and am so glad I did! I wanted a smaller version of yours and bought the Epson ET-2750 and it’s great! Got it on Amazon for a great price. I also bought the Southworth paper and love the subtle texture. Also, I found that any cardstock that’s marked “smooth” prints all smudged; this was with my old inkjet as well as the Epson so I’m thinking that’s the issue. 😉 Sandy

This is my first video of yours. New subscriber. It’s probably in my suggestions because I was looking up paper to use with paper dolls. I have some and am thinking about trying to recreate some for my daughter but the paper is almost like a magazine. A little glossy and kind of thin for the cloths but sturdy and thin ish for the dolls. Almost like the linen paper maybe hum. Trying to figure out the tabs. Anyway thanks for the information and diligent work!
