I love your video's. As a beginner i started with a tenor Ukulele. I have since gotten a concert size Uke. Trying to fit fingers on the concert is challenging for the D chord as an example. I cannot imagine dropping to a Soprano. I just ordered the Nova U Concert size. I travel the southwest US with my van and look forward to not having to worry about weather or wear effects on the Uke.

I got my soprano in Feb 2022 with strap buttons. I also re-strung with low g & have had no scratching from wound wire. I would like to HEAR comparison btwn Enya EUS-25D & carbon-fiber (CF) soprano.... I LOVE my CF soprano & it travels everywhere as we are a full time campground host for OR state parks, where we encourage guests to bring their musical abilities to the community campfire to play spoons, washboard, banjo, guitar, ukulele...? Happy trails, Miss Katie --- Ms. CharLee, solo lady van dweller spreading joy, praising Papa God with our 4 precious ukuleles... [Enya Soprano CF & EUS-25, Lahanu Spalted Maple Electric Concert & last, but not least, a Vangoa with high G & an excellent voice for Hawaiian music!]

I had the Enya concert and just bought the Enya soprano and like them both for different reasons. I bought the blue model and it is beautiful, and now it does come with the strap buttons. By the way, I just found you on KZbin and subscribed to your channel and am loving your videos!

Thank you for this excellent review! I have the concert size of this Uke and love it. The sound quality is amazing. I will eventually buy the soprano size because I think it will be more practical for adventure travel. No major travel now because of Covid, so I will wait a while to see if they come out with new colours just for some variety. The black one is actually really beautiful, classic and stylish. It reminds me of a grand piano. I suspect they will eventually add a version with a strap as this could make it versatile in a different way.

Thanks for the quality sound samples! I just started playing ukulele a couple months ago in March, I got the Enya EUC-25D partly because of your video reviews of it. I'm going to get the soprano to bring on camping and kayaking weekends so my EUC doesn't get hurt. :)

Great review, thank you. Appreciated the close up phototherapy, kind of like looking at a uke in person. Thanks for the sound tests, the soprano does have a bright Hawaiian tone. I like the slimline soprano for it's musical elegance and strength. I have my ear out for the "perfect" uke to carry with me, this one's close. The only question I have is... durability, could you do an update review in the new year? Be good to hear how it holds up with real world use. Thanks for your styling blend of art and knowledge. I like the sound and concept of the smaller "Mini" version. Sounds more like a traditional ukulele to me, and easier to throw in the bag to take with you. I like the fact that it has all those frets, too, 17 of 'em! None of the others you mentioned can match that. The Waterman and the Flight Ultratravel (all plastic) only have 12, as does the Outdoor Ukulele (not included in this video), while the Flight Travel series (wood top but plastic otherwise) at least gives 14. I don't mind 12 in general, it's a tradition, but especially for my knockabout instrument, I at least need to be able to slide up to that high C on the first string for the end of "Happy Birthday!"

I found the soprano much easier and more fun to play because of the lower weight and also because the neck is wider and the strings are more widely spaced, so chords like D and E are easier.

@@chantalsaulnier2746 I have the Enya Nova U Concert carbon Fiber in black, Enya Nova U carbon fiber Soprano in (blue ) it looks turquoise, Enya Concert solid mahogany which also sounds beautiful. My favorite size is the concert. I’ve not purchased a Tenor size yet. I bought Enya’s on Amazon, I went to a music store first to try the 2 sizes out. The price and extras were great on Amazon. On the frets I really haven’t had any problems between the colors. The cord finger placement soon becomes muscle memory. I try practice a little every day, starting with the cords I know then add one more at a time.

Hi! I’m so excited for you and congratulations on your new instrument. It comes with a high G. It does state on the Amazon description of the instrument to not place steel strings on the Nova U because it’s plastic and will wear down the frets. I don’t know if it would cause any intonation issues but you could try nylon low G. I have the tenor nova pro that I restrung with a nylon low G, and I like it. I have my concert nova I with the high G and I love it as it is.

No not removable, I just got it. Not sure if they will change it on later version. Aaction is low I don't see the reason for making adjustment. Compare to her's mine comes with strap button.

Very nice instruments but I am not sure about having a plastic instrument or any kind of man made product string instrument. All this I also can see that those frets will wear out at some point if they are not metal. There is no comparison to the wooden Enya instruments. You will never get a good tone from plastic, you only can get that from tone woods like mahogany, red cedar, maple, walnut etc. My thoughts in regards to these new Enya ukulele.

What would be really cool, seeing that the fretboard is plastic, that it could be held in place by magnets and be removed and swapped with another fretboard of a different design/material. Just a shower thought I guess 😂

This post makes no sense. This is a good cheap uke. Intonation is good. String spacing not great for my needs and I do wish the action was lower at the nut. However intonation is spot on and the instrument does not have an echoey plastic sound. I have a new model soprano.

I own both and I love them. I play them more often than all of my five wooden guitars just because you always can grab one and carry it in your bag everywhere and if there is low or high humidity or a bump in a side it will be no drama like with a Martin or a Gibson😬
