On Namco Museum DS you can set the bottom screen to tell you the item on every floor, how to get it and what it does. The catch being it only tells you the item for the current floor you're on, no looking ahead.

Hey, just thought you would want to know: Namco Museum Vol. 3 has THREE versions of ToD. There is the normal arcade, "Another Tower" (hidden in the arcade), amd "Dark Tower" (accessed via a code for the AT version). The former changes up chest requirements, while DT is a whole new game (floors 61-120). All versions hard as hell..

Tower of Dragua was also available on the NEC PC-6001 Japanese computer which had a very similar video chip to the one used in the Tandy CoCo with its limited and very recognizable 4 color palettes. (I hope this didn't sound too much like those "but you missed x version!" comments.)

I didn't expect you to have it, since it is a very obscure version running on a very obscure computer. :) I'm just fascinated by the PC-6001 because of the CoCo VDG similarities (had a CoCo as a kid, and I love old Japanese video games) but didn't get around to emulate it for the same reasons.

Comment here for answer: Who is the best? X68000 or PC Engine
@emperorIng3608 жыл бұрын
late reply, but the PC Engine version of the game is the best. It has an English translation patch for the ROM to allow you to figure out the hints, which is much better than the arcade's "figure out everything yourself" design. Plus you could increase your stats like an RPG, making it very fast-paced and fun.

Why did he think it was a good idea to wear golden armour? That is the worst possible material to make armor out of. The only reason it was even invented was for decoration and so that the Romans could brag that they could afford golden armour. No practical use.
@JacobNintendoNerd999 жыл бұрын
+Diego Amador Although you can't read it, the PC engine intro apparently says the armor is a blessed armor from the god Ishtar, and the armor turns courage into raw power. This is also explained in later games. EDIT I looked up the intro translation for the PC Engine version and it reads as follows: Ishtar appears to Gil in a dream. "Gilgamesh, Ki is crying. She is struggling to get to the top of the tower on her own because she knows that she must get the Crystal Rod before Druaga does!" Gil wakes up and is visited by a shadowy stranger. "Druaga has caught Ki," he says. Just before vanishing, he adds "If you want her back, you must use the power of your sword."Gil begins to pray for the power that he needs to enter the tower and defeat Druaga before any harm comes to his beloved Ki. Ishtar grants his wish by bestowing upon him the Golden Armor, which is known to convert courage into power. Fully equipped, Gil sets forth, into the foggy darkness, to enter the tower which looms over his homeland like an evil illusion... So apparently, the Golden Armor is a proper noun and doesn't explicitly describe what it's made of.
