I just found your page. I’ve had procreate for a couple of years and had no idea how it worked. I was scared. I like to draw, but digital art is a little different. I did a couple of tutorials elsewhere and I saw this mushroom and figured I’d try it out OMG! I was impressed with the shadowing that I was able to follow. You made it simple to follow and now I’m going to draw more. Very happy and I’m following you.

I have a question. I just recently bought an ipad along with Procreate. I've been using it very frequently and always wondered if the constant gliding of the pen is at all harmful to the screen's longevity. Would you recommend a screen protector? Or would a screen protector only get in the way of procreate sensing the apple pen?

After you made all the dots n the mushroom you pinched them all into one layer. Why did you not do that with the highlights and shadows? Would that have messed with the gausian blur amounts on each one?

Awesome job, I love the way this turned out! I have been enjoying makeartmay. Especially the Mandalas that was a lot more fun than I expected. I love your approach here using so many of the tools and features. I need to learn more in my art program. I'm used to just blocking in a color and setting the opacity to 30% for a quick cheap shading but the mix of colors and Gaussian blur really helped push the 3D effect.
