hi there!
ah, animal crossing new horizons is taking over the world and its kinda weird that we all have plenty of time to play it… 24/7…
and yes, that is what I’m doing. being addicted to animal crossing.
i’ve never been ‚addicted’ to any game before and this animal crossing is my first one. i am all here for it!
Anyways, talking a bit about the video.
OHUHU reached out to me and sent me their 48 alcohol marker set and they are a great alternative to wayyy more expensive markers such as copics. OHUHU offers larger and smaller sets, such as 120 pack, skin tone pack etc etc.
i’m not a professional when it comes to markers but i’m happy how these two turned out. they aren’t perfect and i don’t really like them but they turned out better than i thought. i’m rambling… so, if you like to try these markers, check em out!

Sugar flower there is a version on wii, animal crossing city folk, and that literally was my 2015. If you have a wii, you can maybe try to get it. But the mobile version isn’t bad :)

I'm not a pro either but here are some tips for the alcohol markers! - letting it dry fully helps prevent bleeding of the colours - they blend best when both colours are like wet? idk how to explain haha like not fully dry? -browns and light browns are good for definition -the more layers of one colour may mean darker than it originally was hope these helped, loved the vid, inspired me to do one of 'isabella' !

Hey I've just started using alchohol markers, these tops look really useful! One thing I can't do though--how do you colour in a block colour without getting the streaks? Like darker lines in areas.. :)

AlikButtwr typical alcoholic paper not sure what type but it needs to be thick! And I use ohuhu, cheap on amazon and they have good quality stuff etc, promarkers are pretty good too :)

hey!! i wanna give u some tips on alcohol based markers 🤍🤍 ok so, usually mixed media is something you don’t want to use with markers as the grain and texture in the paper sucks up ink super fast, leading to a marker drying up much quicker than if u used paper like cardstock or bristol board ✨ bristol board and marker paper also prevents bleeding and ghosting of ink 🤍 i recommend daler rowneys bristol board or manga paper!!

Ngl, Antonio is heckin adorable !! Also; alcohol markers are still one of the best things that were ever created! The way they perfectly blend into each other sometimes is amazing. 🥰 it’s also so,fascinating to see you thing it! Love to watch art videos and the most interesting part is always the sketching part. Just FYI for the future: when you can see a marker through the other side of a sheet of paper it is called ghosting not bleeding. Bleeding is when the ink gets transferred from that page over to another. Hope this helped!

So cute! I love it 🥰 some tips when using the alcohol markers is that they blend really nicely when they’re still wet (so sometimes you have to work pretty quickly), and you can get more even colours if you colour in circles. I hope that helps!

New Horizons was my first animal crossing game. Antonio was my first villager. I literally spend majority of my time in-game following Antonio around, taking cute pictures of him, and making money to buy him presents. He’s my favorite villager to hang out with. His “Honk” catchphrase is SO FREAKIN CUTE. Antonio is THE BEST. He’s my precious son.❤️❤️

I also use Ohuhu markers, got them for Christmas They’ve been great so far. I haven’t used brush tip alcohol markers in a while, And from my experience, better than Copics. Now, the copics I got might have been defective or something, but they leaked a lot These have yet to do that, blend ok, and have really vibrant colours Would recommend

i use ohuhu myself and here are my tips speed!!! when it dries itll overlap and be a little funky lets say you need to make a green, ohuhu markers excel at going on top of each other and making a clean colour. yellow + blue make a beautiful green from my experience, the blending marker doesnt work. usually it makes the ink spotty and leaves a dark edge, so i would probably use a different brand's blending marker. ohuhu is really good

something for if you ink first: let it dry for maybe 10 minutes before coloring. i tend to make little sketches or doodles during this time. if you want to test if it’s safe for the lineart, i tend to put a little line in the corner after i’m done with the lineart. when i think it’s okay i normally put a very light color over to test. I hope this helps!

I have a phew tips as a multi medium artist °The blender isn't the best choice for blending because it picks up the color instead of blending, lots of marker artist would agree to not use the colorless blender 😊 °Test your outlines with a marker to see any smudging °If u don't want the ink to go onto the next page put a paper towel or piece of paper under the page u are coloring °As I can see yes earase the lead sketch because it is very difficult to earase the lead when the ink is over it °This can apply to any art medium but using blue, purple, or grey as a shadow works so great! °overall your art looks so cute 🥺
