I taught myself how to play drums from a young age. But after many visits to the hospital, I finally got the message that I couldn't use my little brothers head as a cow bell.

So glad I stumbled upon your video. I've got Riot Drums and like it, was thinking of getting KVLT Drums, to use with the Black Metal pack, but in comparison, Riot Drums definitely sounds better. Cheers!

Yea they are so good, as much as I love the production it's hard to hear exactly what the guitars are doing. That's why we need to get Simon on the job =P

Would I be able to use these midi drum beats on a beat buddy pedal with the manager software? I'm close to buying the beatbuddy. Just want to know if the £300 is worth it and I can easily use various styles of metal drums live.

hi there, can i just ask something about how to create whole songs? i recently got a bunch of stuff from Ugritone in their sale (riot drums + black metal and death metal midi packs and also the trve cab thing + some IRs all for a crazy cheap price) which i use in GarageBand and am having fun with. my question is - i see in a lot of your videos you have drum backing tracks for whole songs, how do you go about doing this? is is just simply a case of going through each midi sample and painstakingly putting the track together? is there anywhere that does full song midi packs or anything? i can see myself going crazy trying to put a song together! thank you.

Hi Simon, I consider my self a very good black metal guitarist. But I am trying to get my playing tighter and tighter. Any tips on how to count/keep time with the blast beats in songs? Obviously the drum patterns of 1-2-3-4, 1-2-3-4 are a piece of cake but when songs go from that pattern to the blast pattern which is more like 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 (fast), I loose track of the beat. for example in freezing moon the first half of the song has the standard drumming but then after the break it goes into the blast/tremolo part. I can play with it no problem but I dont want to be playing by feel/guessing. I want to be precise. Any tips? Love your channel and your channel has inspired me to make my own channel with riffs.

Hi mate. I focus entirely on the kick drum as that is the 1 beat. If you can't hear it, it's difficult. Then I'd go with the high hat or ride, but just focus on 1 single drum.

by the way ... the only thing thats usable in kvlt drums is the snare... the midi pack is a complete rubbish! I spent 18 € on this pack and ... great shit! the only thing that is usable is the beat of frizing moom music ... everything else is pure trash ... sorry... but thigs are just the way is.... and some things should not be reviewed in the first place... jI'm just saying... stay well and keep the great work! greatings from portugal.
