That Ford is an absolute dream. If it weren't for a few rattles, that are easily addressed by someone like you, one cannot imagine they're riding in a 90 year-old car. As with any car, cushion everything in the trunk too. Never knew the greatness of the V-8 Ford, until now. The front seat is certainly substantial and plush. The gentleman that owned it, could not have sold it to a more deserving family. Since I discovered James, several weeks ago, I wondered what his parents must be like. Now I see why he always has the million-dollar-smile. Any kid has to be happy and proud, around someone like you. I hope we can meet the Mrs.,in your video one day. What a legendary family. Huge Blessings go out to the Shawcross family.😇💛

I LIKE THE DRIVING, especially in that fantastic Ford, which I'm truly enjoying.. Personally, I love your camera positioning. I can drive on roads like that, endlessly. BTW, I ride a green 1954 Schwinn Phantom and drive a 56 Packard. Keep up the great work.

Thank you very much, Mr. Shawcross. I should do this kind of local backroads travelling in my home country Finland. I really appreciate you and your son, it is really fun to able see places from your country and learn about your culture and history, as well as learn about music and enjoy it. Happy Easter / Holiday. 👍🌞🙏

Charles, happy to see the 35 on the road again. I had mentioned to James that I had picked up 35 Ford Tudor last year, this was right after you purchased yours. My 35 is an original survivor car with 31,138 miles. You need to look into the early Ford V8 Club, there is a National Meet in Franklin TN. If you can make this it would be a great time of old Fords. June 1-5, 2022! Enjoying the drive and seeing the sites.

What is the model of your 35 Ford?
@Kybossls
@Kybossls 2 жыл бұрын
America's Backroads with Charles Shawcross My 35 is a Tudor Sedan, standard model. Has the radio that still works, after the tubes warm up. The only thing not working at the moment is the fuel gauge, if you look into this, they are problematic. Another great resource is the Early Ford V8 Museum in Auburn IN.

@@Kybossls Yes, my fuel gauge is on the blink as well, but I am told the bbn parts are available. My radio works well, but my heater needs work.

Charles, is a remnant of the American we are losing and trying to save. It is past and living history and those old buildings are amazing! Would you post a link to James new website? Cheers, Rik Spector

My wife is ill and your drives are nice to watch at times over other content, restful and commonly informative; long format so we do not have to keep choosing a new video. I think a drive through Door County Wisconsin might be nice. No chain stores allowed in the county, cherry orchards, bed and breakfasts, Egg Harbor and Bailey's Harbor are the names most common to me. I heard that George Winston has a studio on Washington Island but I cannot say for sure. Of course you have Green Bay Packers and Green Bay has a rail road museum I hear is haunted.

Thank you for sharing the journey, I really enjoy seeing the sites along the way to the towns we get to visit. TN is a very pretty state, (Puncheons - logs that are flattened on one side only.) What a cool and interesting history wow. We all learn new things, so cool.. In Indiana it was interesting to learn, when you saw trees there would be a house nestled in them while the rest of the land was farm, "corn or soy beans." Again thank you for sharing and taking us on your journeys, please keep showing us the roads we take so much fun and site seeing.

Idea… maybe do these drives live with James as your moderator so you could answer questions while traveling. Hope he is doing great at college, quite a talented young man.
