Let's Eat! Ep.1: Philly Cheesesteak, Cheese Fries & Gourmet Jelly Beans

Welcome to the next evolution of the "Pizza with Rift" series where I will be eating a variety of cuisines, not just limited to Italian & pizza, and hopefully some home cooking as well, in order to celebrate a love for food!
I hope you'll be eating along with me as I enjoy a cheesesteak and cheese fries from a local italian eatery, and then follow up with gourmet flavored jelly beans for dessert. What a combo!
I'm wearing my binaural in-ear microphones with the mics pointed in towards my ear canals for more detailed eating sounds. I am experiencing some tech issues with either the audio recorder or mics, so if the audio sounds different between left and right it's most likely not your equipment but mine. I'm working to correct this and appreciate your bearing with me.

What is ASMR?
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and is the current (non-scientific) name given to the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering and personal attention.
ASMR videos are not only meant to help induce ASMR or "tingles", but also help provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer while helping to relieve their anxiety, stress, insomnia, to help those suffering with PTSD or depression, to serve as a study aid and more.

lol, this video has to be the most torturing eating video of his, not like in a bad, mean way, but its just the combination with cheese fries and Philly cheese steak, just looks so amazing and I could easily just go into the kitchen and make food but I just can't stop watching, it just looks so tastey and nothing I would make in the kitchen would compare to what he is eating. The in ear mics are the single best thing ever, however im quite sure they were a little bit unplugged since the right ear sounds (from the listener perspective) are barely noticeable.

Why not? I love that Rift's always trying new things, but this is definitely the kind of footage that would need equalizing in post. Ie; Use two mics. One for the room the other for the close up chewing. And adjust volumes afterwards.

Just an idea here. If your individual mics record in mono you can separate the left and right tracks and duplicate each track, one panned left, one right, that way you can have one mic facing inward, one facing outwards, that way you get both sounds and you can mix them accordingly.

Idk where ASMR stands at this point, but I hope it is able to grow out of KZbin and broadcast worldwide on television yo where they have like award shows for some of these amazing artist that put so much time and effort in to each video.
