extra weights?? no tks. I put a rod stick in the strap holder hole. It replaces the missing (and functional) upper horn.

I bought my first semi-hollow guitar, and though I loved the sound, I found it almost unplayable standing up due to the neck dive. The added support my fret hand had to produce made it very uncomfortable. Guitar Center suggested using an Ernie Ball Stretch Comfort strap, and that pretty much solved the whole issue.

Ah good suggestion. I’ve not tried one of those straps, maybe I’ll give it a go.

I thought about putting in the weights myself but I just didn’t want to add more weight on my guitar. A schecter solo 2 custom is already heavy enough as it is. I decided to drill two more buttons. one behind the horn. I remember seeing something similar on a schecter e1 with sustainac and the flying v. Then another closer up from the bottom. It looks and feels awesome. Its worth the drill. I have pictures but i can’t seem to upload on the comments section

There is obviously the unfortunate addition of weight, luckily my purple guitar is quite light to begin with. My weight fix isn’t perfect, so I’m going to need a little extra something. Dunno if I could bring myself to put another hole in it though. You’re a brave man 🤘🏼

Start with a very small bit! Im telling you. I was nervous at first but I can tell you. Ur guitar design is very similar to mine the only real progress is when I drilled the 2nd hole which was behind the horn. I thought my 1st drill would do the trick by moving the bottom button up. But that didn’t work a slightly better feel. Behind the horn is where its at. And it’s hidden u cant see it.

Did that change the sound of the pickups?

Hey man! How do you think this Purple Sparkle Eclipse stack up against your Gibson Les Paul Custom? I always wanted a black Les Paul Custom but I already have this Purple Sparkle E-ll. Can you please break down the differences in feel, sound and quality please? The ESP is already a pretty pricey guitar so I’m thinking how would I justify the Custom. Apart from being my dream guitar ever since I started playing. Haha. Cheers from Sweden!

Buy a guitar with NO neck dive. Get a wider strap that’s rough on the inside. And wtf is with Gibson with putting the strap button on the horn of the SG?!!!! I had to relocate the button.

Wish my neck dive was as small as this mine upside down if I let it go

Attatch more of the weights to the bottom of your strap somehow..

Yup! Get a strap that rough

I would say that NOT having neck dive on an Eclipse is an anomaly. You lucked out on your other guitars. I avoid Telecasters and Eclipses for this exact reason. I've had chambered Les Pauls do the same thing. Unfortunately, ESP needs to relocate that strap pin to the neck heel to get the balance right.

This is what I was thinking of doing with mine, but haven’t thought of a way to test it yet. Do you know for sure that moving the strap peg closer to the neck works?
@9unslin9er Жыл бұрын
@@benjamins8695You shouldn't drill another screw as it would greatly affect resale value. I recommend you use a suede backed strap like a Levy's M12 to increase friction. But as far as strap pin location goes, yes behind the neck heel like on a Gibson SG, or if you don't play beyond he 17th fret, a pin drilled upwards at the neck heel (like on many acoustic guitars) will solve any neck dive.
