Most people don't put effort into it. Sad to say, my first story was in some ways worse than your typical Sonic fanfic. But in the end, a story, fan-made or not, is a story. As long you put effort and thought in it, a fanfic can be just as good, if not better than canon in some ways. It's hardly gauranteed, but bad fanfics are only 90%. You'd be surprised how good the remaining 10% can be. This is most certainly on the higher end of that 10%. Personally, becoming part of that 10% is my first goal as a writer.

I love the flashbacks with Nil! He had such a cool personality! One critique I did have was Infinite's monologue at the beach. It feels like it was a bit too long and revealing. Maybe have Infinite or some other item reveal some of this information piece-by-piece throughout the game(like a series of signs,journals, or newspaper clippings scattered throughout levels). Otherwise, I'm really enjoying listening to this great storytelling! Keep it up!

If you happen to get my last comment with the hub worlds, this one will cover mission ideas as to give variety and creative from my experience of different missions from past games. Mission ideas: 1) Recon missions, basically move behind enemy lines without getting spotted to get footage for the Freedom Fighters. Or if it's an unknown area like some ancient temples, look around but keep caution if enemy forces have their own recon force out. 2) Base defense and invasion, it'll be much like capture the flag but instead of a flag, it's the bases and if any line of defense for good or bad bases fall, it'll fall into their favor, gaining ground or losing ground (Ratchet and Clank 3 and Starlink Battle for Atlas). 3) Testing prototype weapons of different wispon weapons vehicles and gadgets and destroying enemy prototypes the Freedom Fighter don't know what it is (like the Lich in Halo 4 and 5 yellow Hellcat cruisers from Jak 2). 4) Special Ops while the army distracts the enemy while the hero works their way to say deadly cannons and robots (like the ARC troops in the hand drawn Star Wars Clone Wars mini series did). 5) Infiltration to enemy base for intelligence, a hero along with squad and one hacker head for one of the computer rooms and defend the hacker while they download the data off the computer (Sly 3 Honor Among Thieves). 6) Setting up base operations, this'll be similar to the one in Starlink Battle for Atlas so you can create different types of bases, like a weapon mods and prototypes place, mining for resources to make weapons and vehicles, observation for the area of world. It'll be a neat way of gaining more ground than the enemy does. 7) Rescue squads when in trouble, this'll be more of a minor part if you want to keep the alliance strong and don't lose anyone to Eggman's robots if the hero is close by near a small battle. 8) Deliver Bomb to enemy base, your hero and a squad of say 6-8 NPCs defend a bomb from enemy forces that'll try to stop you from bring a bomb to their base and it's reactor core and blowing it up and rebuild it from the ground up (a bit of Fortnite). 9) Evac civilians to safety, when a huge attack is coming to unarmed and defenseless civilians, the hero along with the army hold off Eggman's robots big or small, strong or weak, while some marines get citizens to evacuation exits or transports to flee the war zone (Halo Wars)

Two things: A) I love this series. This is so much better than other fanfi- game ideas that I've seen and/or made. I really gotta post the link to this in Sega's next video. And also... B) For another of the escort missions, you have to help a robot relinquished from Eggman's control (i.e. Detroit become Human) that runs on hyper go-on, meaning you have to gather a certain amount of Wisp capsules in a certain amount of time. The bot will also help you fight, but that doubles their energy usage whilst fighting, and they might leech power from your Wispon if their power gets low enough. Good for when you use Metal characters. Hope you like the idea!
