I'm a martial arts practitioner for 8 years and just by seeing two shorts my strikes changed completely. Thank you Sir.

VERY INTERESTING!!! 27 years of learning and no one has EVER explained it this way!!! Thank you

Probably because much too many people in classical martial arts ALWAYS TRIED to do things like their master told them, maybe missed something important, but almost invisible, and NEVER allowed themselves to experiment. (In memory of a once fluid man ...) One of my first sensei in classical karate urged us to experement and feel, rather than to look.

Very amazing karate, thats why i love it. The more i learn it, the more i impressed by it.. There is nothing vain in every little single move in karate. I've learned karate since i was 9 yo, and now i'm 42 yo. Karate has became one of my way of life. Many great thanks to all of my sensei that i can't mention... osh...

How old are you now I'm 60 but haven't trained in 30 years, could I go back?
@satheeshkumar6865Ай бұрын
60 yrs now. Definitely you can restart learning Karate. Suggest traditional karate instead of full contact styles. All the best 👍🏻

Martial arts is a way of life not just for sport or to keep fit. If practised correctly and with the correct intentions then it is how it should be used for.

One common mistake students make is when rotating the hips forward, they tend to slide the front foot back, thereby moving away from the taeget
@huntrichardsonАй бұрын
Good and you can also lift your foot, step forward and put it down heel first before striking

I LOVE Sensei's examples! But I wish he would use an opponent that is a 250lb Judo Nidan with similar experience in rooting and body mechanics to showcase the extreme skill that he has.

Simple Kiba Dachi to Zenkutsu Dachi stance change. Would be interested to know how many people found this video as useful... After training for 21 years this comes natural and you forget how much you know 😅

That is not necessarily ashi-sabaki. The whole of tai-sabaki was achieved by a forward movement in this demonstration. Of course energy will go forward.

Just a reminder:Tatsuya Naka sensei participated in tournaments,so he knows what he's doing here, he's in third and first position in his tournaments before And the fact that he's not performing aikido makes you know that aikido is useless....he did perform somin similar but it's not for fighting,just an exercise

A 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘧𝘵 and transferance of the bodyweight. Merely pivoting the heel does nothing. No weight is transferred to propel the punch. Learning to push thru can teach you in learning to punch thru.
@MansMan42069Ай бұрын
It's the pivoting on the heels that allows bodyweight to be shifted and transferred in the correct direction.
@Jonoxthomascito6516Ай бұрын
Ninja 🥷 yo heels are moving what you mean ?😳 both your feet and heels are turning in the same direction Do you mean not to push bs k with your feet or not lift up your heels Cause your heels was moving they was moving
