I totally agree with comedy/humor being able to cut through all the political BS and ease tensions, help everyone relax, no cap. I'd add to your point though, if you're a legislator in our country, from either party, and you find that the nations top animated tv program is able to make jokes about school shootings and vests, and no one gets outraged too outrage....You should know that's because they're able to do due to it becoming so commonplace and you not doing your job. All I'm saying is that comedy can ease tensions, and make us feel better, but on a really good day, hopefully it can shame some legislators into doing their damn job, feel me?
