@kross91307 жыл бұрын
Yes, but his job really is easy. All he has to do is give the downbeat - this crew is so good they do the rest, especially on a chart like this with the percussion section morphing into a rhythm section.
@clairegreeb9 жыл бұрын
The fact that everyone is so ridiculously comfortable up there, makes this the best orchestra performance I have ever seen. They're all just up there having a good time and it is marvelous. I will never be able to watch another orchestra performance without comparing it to this one. And the conductor's sunglasses - on point.

The lights guys need more respect for all their efforts for this show
@dstarfire424 жыл бұрын
Nobody EVER notices the light guys until something goes wrong. A few years of experience teaches them that when attention is on them, it's because they've screwed up, or they're supposed to fix somebody else's screw up. Every time I've seen a cameraman, sound tech, lighting guy, etc. pulled onto stage/set they looked nervous and uncomfortable the whole time (beyond even what a normal person that's not used to being on stage/set would be). But, yeah, they did do an awesome job, and probably not somethign they're used to doing.

I know right? I've been lucky to have been a part of an orchestra's production team just like this. The work behind the scenes for a concept like this is one of the most stressful yet most rewarding parts when it succeeds. My hat's off to these guys.

You should really do more "Pop songs", it sounds awesome and will definitely make "classical orchestra music" more popular. Really nice, congratulations
@aramitz21259 жыл бұрын
***** I'm a bit sad to read your comment. You have to realize that studying music takes a lot of time and can be expensive. Lots of people never had the chance to study music, if their parents weren't interested in it. For them, it's hard to start with "hardcore" classical music, because that's like learning a new language, and it's outside their "cultural habits". Such plays could create the opportunity for more people to make a first step. I'm not asking for every orchestra to stop playing classical music and instead play one direction
@tookitogo4 жыл бұрын
Totally agree with both of you. I appreciate the sound of orchestral music, but plain and simply don’t like 95% of classical music, just as I dislike 95% of jazz, rap, hip hop, R&B, country, and a smattering of other genres. I’ve always liked orchestral covers of pop and rock music. Anyway, I think the orchestral world puts off a lot of people with the stodgy adherence to classical music, black suits, etc. I know it put me off.

every generation thinks the music of the new generation is strange or awful. its only the people that move with the times that don't become bitter. i like music based on if it is good or not. there is plenty of awful music from all eras but only the good stuff lives on, don't see the past with rose tinted glasses. i love Abba, the beatles led zeppelin, pink Floyd, Marti Webb, the stylistics, the specials, madness , ELO, black Sabbath. i also live George Ezra, Coldplay, Adele, sonata arctica, ramstein, Eminem, Florence and the machine, lady gaga. back in the day parents thought Elvis was awful horrible music not like the decent music of their generation where it was more about how well you sang than how well your hips gyrated. now my grandma would look at George Ezra and say "yes but he is no Elvis... ooh back in my day..." so on and on it goes. there is no such thing as a generation of bad music
