I love these haul videos. Being in Englandland we get to see a lot about your country from the landscape, infrastructure to what else is being by road. Wide open plains and the mountainous regions in the distance. I tend to keep an eye out for all the other plant around building roads and housing as you pass by. Ive been to the cat dozer plant some years ago at Peoria and the JD Combine factory. Wow what set ups. Better not say too much or you will start charging us a sight seeing fee😂 Brill vid and the music is always great too. Thankyou.

Jeff the first scraper I hauled was a Wabco C pull all cable machine. I hauled it from Phoenix to Las Vegas Nv in 1972. Power unit was a MACK with a 673 thermodyne 250 horse no Jake 5&3. Was only 18 years old. Knowing what I know now there’s no way I’d let an 18 year old kid do that.😲

I don't care if you are using old shit to get a job done... That is still the best way to move scrapers... And Jeff Wins again... I've had to do that system a lot over the years, and it still works best today... Putting a scraper on a standard RGN leaves too much overhang, and opens you up to a lot of liability... Again that way in my book is Safer, and reduces your liability...

I was always a bit curious why you use the dollies instead of the double drop, but I always assumed it was an issue with the deck length/OAL limitations so instead of buying a longer more expensive deck just for the scrapers, the dollies work and are cheaper, if not a bit more tedious to load.

Hey Jeff happy new year to you and your family , Nice video , enjoyed the scenery , gee it looks like it’s a dry place on the plains . It seems like KZbin has plenty of experts who like to criticise unfortunately. I have respect for you you have experience man and that is what matters . I like your old gear it’s reliable and you can fix it yourself . Hey a question I recently bought a good condition Komatsu D155a , it has an engine not too much different from your D9G do you think that a switch blade turbo would be a good idea for it ? I’ve not done any heavy work with her yet but going to do a full service on her first . Let me know your thoughts . Power is about 300 hp at 1600 rpm , 1159 cu inch max power 320 hp at 2000 rpm but fuel use goes way up . Hopefully you avoided the cold blast . Sorry for the disaster in California . All the best from New Zealand

Very cool video from kiwi land. Love the trailer set up, in kiwi land I would imagine with all the rules and red tape and hoops one has to jump through this type of trailer would not be allowed plus would need at least 3 pilot vehicles and more permits than your clipboard can hold. Nothing wrong with old iron. It will still be going when the new crap is been melted down and turned into those stupid EV thingies.

Hello, Jeff. Now I have to ask: What is the Fuggnutz brand? Is it one of the new ones coming out of China? Or is it one of the new magical electric types that solve Global Warming? And where do you plug in an electric Fuggnutz overnight so it will not act like a GoPro next day and suddenly shut off? And can you repair your new Fuggnutz yourself, or do you have to call in the dealer to reprogram the computer every time you add oil or fuel? [asking for a friend].
