It's an amazing contrast between some of those characters who were awful last season (the loanshark, the border broker) who have reached their limits and since concluded "well let's be reasonable," versus other characters who seem to be a limitless void of nihilism (the recruiter, the brother,) these first two episodes really bring that front and center from the beginning. Good to see you again lady, you're already making my new year better 🥂❤

It's unfortunate that season 2 has to invariably compared to season 1.... which was sublime. Season 2 on its own is great too...the acting, the cinematography... unfortunately it can never measure up to the original, but it's still up there in terms of quality.
