Great conversation. I own a lot of the tools you talked about and use most of them. I don’t use my electronic cutters anymore mainly because I mostly use dies. I never owned a button maker. Years ago, I searched high and low for the epoxy circles to make my own flair. I finally found them and haven’t made one flair😂. They’ve turned yellow now😢. I think it was more the thrill of the hunt than anything.

I had the same thing with those epoxy circles turning yellow which made me glad I didn’t use them 😬. I mostly use dies too. So less complicated (or so it feels to me). ~Melanie

Once again, the raw honesty you two share that we ALL can commiserate with is awesome! Tools are so valuable and I'm a sucker for them, but I struggle with keeping them in the front of my brain to use them.

I’m with you, out of sight, out of mind. If it’s on my desk I’ll reach for it. I’ve done the basket on my desk with tools and items I want to use and it works. I need to get back to that. Great ideas.

Awesome discussion! I struggle with punches. They are hard to store and I use most of them infrequently.

They are hard to store… clunky and heavy. I’ve found if I have things readily available I’m more likely to use them so I think I might have to have a designated tool spot in my desk and try selecting a few to have out for a bit and rotate through them to see if that encourages me to use them. ~Melanie

Okay! I watched another ‘talk’ video and enjoyed it! A lot of interesting ideas. You had me laughing right from the beginning “FOMO Queen”! I thought that was me… like you guys I’ve bought tools that I don’t use but I’m not getting rid of them. No way. Anything I’ve ever purged I want back. But I’m glad I didn’t buy a button maker or even an electronic cutter. If it’s work to get to it and/oe use it, it’s not happening….

Yeah! We are so glad you joined us again… and this was a long one! The electronic cutter is a hard one… I keep saying I’m going to learn my silhouette or find a way to work it into my process but it just isn’t happening. I probably have to issue myself a challenge … like 31 days of using the silhouette 😬. I think I’m in your camp… if it’s too much work it’s more than likely not going to happen. ~Melanie

I love my tools and I think I agree with everything you said. I get them thinking how much I can do and then they take up room and are not in front of me. Ladies - I love this series! Keep up the good work!
