What I really liked about the cat reveal was how differently Jodio and Paco reacted to seeing the heads: Jodio immediately started thinking of how this could've happened and is ready to defend himself with his entire posture screaming of battle readiness while Paco knew ge was going to see something and still seems to be absolutely panicking. Jodio has a general tendency to stay calm and collected in stressful situations inspite of being the youngest of the group which could be due to his potential aspd

I think that Jodio's goal of becoming filthy rich is a bit of a callback to Phantom Blood with Dio whose original goal was to become rich himself. And that it is also a full circle type of story with it going to eventually end with Jodio becoming rich and that in part one the Joestars used to be rich themselves but the proceeding JoJo's being less wealthy.

I've being thinking... it is the story of "one boy" becoming filthy rich... what if in some sort of twist, any of them is the one surviving and not necessarily Jodio? I think that foreshadowing phrase is not that obvious in that sense, still find kinda weird that Araki is spoiling us the end that easily XD

That is a story telling inside the new universe, the same happened in Part 7 and 8 where we know what the plot want to tell... for Johnny was the story of him returning to walk and for Josuke was to broke the curse. Now is the story of Jodio becoming reach, and maybe involved in something bigger as what happened to Johnny fighting Valentine for the corpse and Josuke fighting the rock humans. In this case Jodio will fight... something that maybe related to moneys.

Small theory. The shopkeeper was told by someone else to keep watch for either a suspicious rock or anything that made valuable things disappear. What if there's an underground mafia that keeps track of the lava rocks across the Island? It would even make sense for them to specifically warn a luxury shop Edit: the part of the shopkeeper knowing anything important is now disproven as of chapter 9

So my theory is, the lava rock is an AU version of Rolling Stones. I say this cuz considering how Part 5 concluded with Rolling Stones being told to be the reason for why the events of the story happened. Rolling Stones had the power to 'Pursue Dying Targets' In Jojolands, an AU telling of Part 5, the story introduces a stone that has the power to 'Attract onto Fortune'. Like they feel so SIMILAR, but theyre like polar opposites to eachother. Also as for the cats, I dont think the string stand 'belonged' to them. Rather I think the Stand was implanted into them and the owner controled them remotely like puppets. Considering how past chapters showcased that the string CAN indeed cut through objects, and each cat just so happens to have their heads cut clean off, it seems like there is a possible connection. More so considering, Jodio says the owner was potentially in the forest close by with them. Finally I think Usagi and Dragona can easily get out of the situation theyre in. All Usagi has to do is use MatteKudasai to make a duplicate of the watch. Which by the way could be something the shopowner will want or Usagi could ask for dragona for it. Now what I THINK may happen is the moment MatteKudasai transforms, will the Shopowner or the two security guards notice and confirm themselves as the cats owner?

The problem with the cats’ owner being the true user of the stand strings for me is that, from a meta standpoint, we’ve already had a battle with this stand; It isn’t Araki’s style to make us fight the same stand again, and our protagonists already figured out how it worked. So when the owner shows up, they’ll have to have a new stand to figure out.

About the healing -- I think it's possible that Dragona's stand could be used in such way, with its property of changing appearance used to shift flesh in order to patch up wounds.

This was my favorite chapter so far awesome to learn more about how the rock works. I feel like the stand user might be the guy who ran by and took that $20 but we’ll see. I love seeing them just chill Jodio definitely gonna become friends with usagi. Also very interesting how araki just drops the title where he did and clarifies ONE boy becoming rich

I don't think any of the injuries sustained during the jungle warfare arc would really be visible, considering that the attacks were all either near surface cuts or strangulation. Not to mention the person who took the most damage (Paco) has a stand that lets him control every muscle in his body. Surely that has some healing properties.

I actually have predictions for part 9: A new stand fight has started so this will happen: -The group try to fight the stand while trying to keep the lava rock safe -They keep failing so they are forced to focus on beating the stand user -They beat the stand user but then realise the rock was stolen by the user or their accomplice -The diamond dissapears aswell -Jodio's group start freaking out -The decide they can't go home until they get the diamond and lava rock back -They find a clue to the stand user and try hunting them down -The stand user, hearing about this, sends other stand users to fight the group -2 or 3 arcs of this happen before they find the stand user again -They beat the user, get the stuff and go back home -The stand user or an accomplice has followed them home and either leaks that they are criminals or sends a lot more stand users after them -Eventually a character from part 8 will appear (most likely josuke) -Josuke will hear that Jodio's group has the lava rock and will chase after them -He will absolutely EMBARRASS them and they'll give up the lava rock -He will interrogate them to find out why they have this. After finding out they aren't part of the group of stand users that Jodio has been fighting, he'll tell them that he is against them too -Josuke will say that in pursuit of another rokakaka, he was led to the lava rock that could attract it -He would've then found the group of stand users that would've tried stealing Josuke's lava rock but Josuke would've destroyed his -Jodio's group and Josuke decide to team up to get the lava rock: Jodio wanting to become rich and Josuke wanting to find the rokakaka -While they agree to work together, Jodio's group to secretly steal the rokakaka from Josuke too since it can be sold for a lot of money -It'll prob end with a big fight maybe even with josuke where Jodio unlocks a new busted ability like makes every raindrop he makes a pocket dimension or something -Definetly to do with the golden spin

My take on the lava rock is, it has to do with “value”. Specifically what each person values a certain object. Of course everyone would value a Diamond pretty equally . The $20 was different since it wasn’t Jodios Usagis or Pacos

The self healing wounds have been reoccurring in Parts 2, mostly 3, the end of part 6, but mostly in Part 8. In fights like Urban Guerilla and Doremifasolatido the joester group recieved several holes to the face and body including Josuke's eye, but at the end they all disappeared. And in WOU fight, Obladi Oblada seriously damaged Josuke. He looked like he could die at anytime, but once he entered a bathtub to get the creature off his skin and came out, he was as good as new. Part 8 had the most brutal moves but no healers.

I've got a feeling that Dragona's gonna end up in prison idk why. That would be an interesting parallel to part 6. that could explain some of the foreshadowing seen in the chapter as well as adding some unique plot-lines in Jojo (like the main character being confronted to a dilema testing what kind of man he really is). There's much more that it could give to this part but I'm too tired to think about it 🥱😭

The exaggerated damage in JOJO has always been a bit annoying to me, too. Now, I usually just think of it as an abstraction of how the pain feels or their panic at the situation. I would really prefer if there were consequences for damage though, but Araki doesn't seem to care about it too much. I feel like part of that goes back to it being a weekly/monthly series. For example, this chapter, I had already forgotten they were hurt so much last time, so I was just along for the ride.
