Great choice. The wife had mobility issues due to some medical issues that we won't go into. After about 3 years she is now walking again thanks to a great doctor we found. Anyway that is the scooter that we bought because of the ease of taking it apart and taking it with us. It has a long battery life and does very well on many surfaces. Great to see you guy being able to get out and about. Enjoy your journeys.

This is awesome. Things like this scooter can bring back the joys of life. I've dealt with mobility issues for over 25 years, so I GET it. It gives a while sense of autonomy and independence again. Glad you and Sue can camp again. Such a gift of freedom, again.

I have had a similar Pride Elite Traveler scooter for some 10 years. At age 85 parts are getting a little heavy to take out and put back into the trunk. I have a larger battery box with two 18ah batteries, makes battery pack weigh more.

Thanks for your input. I can see how that could be a problem. We don’t take ours out very often anymore, but it has been a real blessing for Sue to be able to get outside, even at home.

I am getting so fat myself I about need one. Is Sue going to drive with the seat sideways like a gangster? lol That turtle moves at about the speed of a turtle I know named Steve. lol Can you get a lithium battery for more power? Yes in the hills we live in breaks is a must. Glad this is working out well for y'all. Very cool share.

Hi Buddy! Yeah ... just call me "Hulk" Lol. It was nice going to the lake again. She should try it gangsta style, Lol. Steve might have trouble keeping up ... like me. I'm sure some models do offer Lithium and run forever (like 30 miles). They cost twice as much too. This model claims to go over 8 miles on a full charge, but Sue rarely goes more than 80 yards at a time. I told her that now she can go to the grocery store by herself. It's only 3 miles away ... the traffic might back up behind her though, Lol. Thanks for stopping by, my friend!

Thanks for the video. If you look at the videos from Mobility Direct check the videos about extending the range from about 8 miles to about 14. Going to lithium batteries. It might be of interest.

How difficult is the lever pressure on your thumbs? My father has difficulty using the dexterity on his hands and has arthritis. Thank you for your review. So helpful!

My wife has not had any problems with it, although she is right handed. Right now she can’t use her right arm so she has to PULL the left lever instead of PUSHING the right one. This is more difficult. I don’t know if they offer a foot pedal, which would solve your problem and hers. Thanks for your question. Hopefully this helps.

Thanks Dee! It does pretty good in our gravel driveway. I have my doubts about sand though. The wheels are not wide enough and ground clearance is limited. Thanks for asking!
