4:57 I love that old 2 door station wagon. I sure do wish I wasn't 1500 miles away. ☹ 11:37 That Edsel hood would also be coming home with me. Loving old American Iron as much as I do, I don't think I'm going to be able to watch your video of all those cars and parts getting crushed and turned into soup cans. The heavy hands of the politicians who forced this long time family business, to go out of business, should be in handcuffs.

Theres another yard just like this somewhere in Colorado that was has also shut down (Due to a huge re-development and building of homes/apartments in the area) Place had old 40's school buses, trucks, anything old. No word if theyll be trying to sell off the inventory or if the land developers but everything outright....

The reality is the generations of people or at least the majority are dying off who lived and had these cars and experienced the years they were popular and appreciated to restore them. The demand for these parts isnt there anymore to be profitable and just plain not desirable in most cases. Many of these parts and cars in that yard werent ever in too much demand even in their heyday but were still saved at the time for possible resale for wrecks of that day and they were dirt cheap to get. This scenario with old junkyards is acting out all over as time flies buy and waves its sad reality hand & not too mention the rust factor making some parts there destined for the crusher. I personally scrapped two cars a few years back when steel was high I think at 16 cents a pound here in the North East. So I got $1100 for two junk cars which isnt bad. Cars were worth more in scrap then its resale value or parts. This yard will do good in scrap metal for sure when they are crushed what ever the steel price is currently I would imagine. Dont know what steel is now maybe 8-9cents/lb as it fluctuates. This trend is happening all over the country. Im glad to see some of it is being saved .....Good video enjoyed it thanks for posting ! Sorry for the long over explained comment ,HA!

I bet that hatch went to a rotsun. But a lack of rust makes me wonder. Glad to hear that some was used. Wish it was in a less restrictive area. The area could be by order only and not open to foot traffic. But that would require more hired hands so that's the thing. Wish it was in Alabama or distributed among newer rural junkyards. Junk is treasure.

If this country needed metal and glass to keep our country safe, that would be one thing. Every scrap metal yard has scrap melting into the soil and not doing anyone any good. We don't even make anything anymore so why sell it to someone who will kill us? Our people are fat and lazy. Frost on a seat cover.... its a sick day for sure

Limited new parts for older vehicles in the United States. Now everybody is into destroying used parts that could be salvaged and reused. Just what we need, or don't need. I'm just saying in a few years we're not going to be able to keep even the older vehicles that are worth it running.
