hhahahaha me encantó este video. Yo soy igual con los objetos me cuesta mucho dibujarlos, a veces es que los veo tan aburridos que no me entran las ganas de ponerme con ellos. Sobretodo mesas, sillas, armarios, muebles en general, rectangulares sin gracia ninguna. Fan from France here ! I'm studying in a very hard school to become a concept artist here. All my professors are teasing me and telling me that my "style" is "too cartoon" and that I should do comics or illustration. In that school, it is kind of an insult, not because comics or illustration is bad, but because it means you're NOT GOOD ENOUGH for concept art. Day after day, I become more depressed about it. I'm very stressed and sometimes I cry about it. Somedays, it's too much for me, and I broke down in a "living model class" (not sure if it's correct) I had an anxiety attack, couldn't do anything about it. My professor told me to go home, or take 5 minutes out of the class to calm down, and I responded "Fuck no. I want to draw. I want to do this. Fuck everything, I'm going to win this thing" Now, they don't want to comment my drawings. I think they are worried about me, because it was really ugly. I'm worried too. I'm writing this because I want to thank you, and to congratulate you. Thank you, because I realize that I'm not the only one struggling with these things (they want us to draw in a realistic style..), and good job, because you're working on it ! Good luck, have fun and i'm looking forward your next video :) La bise from France !

Thank you for your video, Fran. I like it. I had the some problem with drawing in museums until my tutor from art school (where I study illustration) gave me advice - don't draw paintings in museums, try to draw your thoughts that this painting or objects evoked in you. It was hard to get it right, but It helped me. I'll be happy if this advise helps you =^..^=

V & A museum ? I have to admit I'm a bit envious. I'm in France and I'm always amazed when I visit their internet site. About drawing, what I like to do is to take a kneadable rubber, roll it between my hands, then roll it on my sketches to take off the graphite surplus. Then I ink or add the colors. : D It is always a great pleasure to watch your videos, and a great inspiration. Thank you for that !

It's amazing that you took the step and got out of your comfort zone. Your sketches looked amaaaazing!! It's so strange how some subjects are weaknesses to one person while others struggle "less" with it. I would be the one who ends up drawing all the objects in a museum rather than the people. So this does inspire me to break free a little. A quick question - do you color with the markers afterwards? Or do you bring them with you and finish the sketch there? I can't remember if you've mentioned this in a video before or not.

Lovely video as always, thank you so much for sharing. I always meant to ask you this, and I hope you can answer me, about writing in English on your drawings. I am not English and I find that, while it's easier to share my pictures online if I write them in English, when I share them among my friends or on the Italian part of the internet, I always get asked why I don't write in my own language. Would it be best to leave a blank spot and add the words with a program such as PS or SAI? Or just pick a language and have a complete work on your hands? Thank you for reading.

Hey, the V&A is basically my favourite museum in London. I love the design/decorative side of it, and I love the fusion of old beautiful things and new and they do awesome non permanent exhibitions, like the David Bowie special exhibition (3 years ago?). On one of my many visits, I saw a room where people could take out old samples of fabric kept in big glass frames, and lean the frame up on a desk and draw the designs that were printed on the fabric. There were desks and chairs and people were working. It was very cute. Maybe next time?
