I adore the 30s chair. My grandparents had chairs (and a slippery sofa) just like it and I used to braid the fringes and listen to my grandma talk and laugh. I'd go back in time in a heartbeat if I could.

Oh please, keep filming as you pass down the aisles! I see things I would want to look at, or things I would buy. That bun warmer you looked at really tickled me, because I have that exact one! It was a wedding gift in 1972. I used to use it a lot over the years. And, wow, that old chair you showed at the end was fabulous, and I would’ve purchased it and made room for it somehow. Then the old sewing stand I just loved. It had some old thread spools that were wooden and are collectable nowadays, and the sock darner thing is collectable too. Oh my, I would have probably spent too much money had I ridden along with you to those places. Thanks, I had a great time.

I really liked the EAPG pitcher - very unusual. I remember my grandmother using a darning egg to fix my father’s socks when I was little (my mother didn’t sew or mend). I have Nana’s sewing box full of old notions - love it SO much.

Scan the shelves, we love it. A big yes on grill plates. The Blue Willow example you picked up gave me a little rush of nostalgia, though BW wasn't a part of my youth. I think the fondness comes from a memory of a beloved third grade teacher who explained to the class the story of the star crossed lovers depicted on the pattern. Congrats on that cool floor standing radio, Scott. Great video.

ah ha! I don't darn anymore but I do crochet afghans and sure would love to sit in that awesome chair of an evening! looks really comfy🤗 I think you need to live with the dollhouse for a year or two and really enjoy it. I live with my mom's and have hours of fun working on it and collecting and/or making minis. it's great when you don't have room for full size collections😂😂😂 wish I were closer, I'd come and get that chair!!!! congrats on winning the bid on that radio! always enjoy you and your forays into the "wild" TFS, be well🧓🙏😉

Congratulations on winning the peacock radio. It’s beautiful ! I love the chair. Hope you tell us about the where & how if this acquisition. It’s a great chair. They look wonderful together. Loved the little mahogany sewing cabinet. I doubt anyone darns socks anymore. In America today we’ve lost the sense of thrift. If it’s torn, broken etc we throw it away. Love your videos and this one was super... wish you had bought that regal EAPG pitcher. I’d have bud on that... like a pitcher of ice water in the dining room table. Glad you’re still masking & bring careful. Take care.

Wow on that win...and the beginning of video had the Royal Doulton baby bunny heavy dish of mine, being a 59 model I gave to my niece and her baby boy on his first Bday thanks for showing it..mine was round and different scene..., but in my day they could only be purchased and Jewelry store that had some nice china...sigh..times go so fast...but the heavy ones match the rule of channel..lol...oh I would have bought the newer Old Country Roses Bisquit jar for my tea set given to me from mom...they are still making and cane out in 62 I think...BUT these are personal...I get and love how each soul chooses...your area is a dream. Thank you for funny and fun videos always.

Thanks for sharing your adventures. No where else have I’ve seen so many old beautiful finds you come across.

My favorite thing shown was the mahogany sewing stand, I would actually use that! Yes, the word "notions" is correct but I agree that saying accoutrement is a lit more fun! Also, I appreciate the amount of time you spend scanning the shelves. The thing that I find frustrating is when other resellers film all of the broken, and in my opinion, "junky" items on messy and organized shelves. But that's probably just me.... 😉
@gailsprangers93882 жыл бұрын
I enjoy watching you stroll through the items. I'm super happy that you got the old radio. It belongs with someone who will really appreciate and restore it to it's original beauty! Are you planning a move????? I'm sensing you might have space for those items because you're planning a move🤔
