Thank you for your honesty and raw realness. Thank you for taking the time to share your frustrations through the exhaustion. I hope you are able to find some way to get some mental relaxation in some way.

I am not surprised but still so sorry you had to deal with that in Ohio. There is so much I love about how but I am constantly let down by the police forcer there. I really appreciate you sharing this. I am really looking forward to more of your videos when you are feeling like it. And congrats on finishing your finals!

Omg. I have learned so much from this video. 1. My husband is also white and I never thought to ask him what he thought of allyship or anything like that. That’s a good question. To be honest, he had the reaction I truly expected from “colorblind” people. He knew this stuff was going on and he tried to do his part and truly respects people for their character. He recognizes his white privilege. The videos that surfaced after George Floyd’s death wasn’t eye opening for him but he was so disgusted. He would send me links and articles and we would talk about what was happening. We have VERY in depth conversations because he knows a lot about politics and history etc. i get very sensitive but offers so much information and without saying so I know that he is an ally (otherwise our marriage would no longer exist). 2. Sundown towns! I did not know. You said “just research it” and that’s exactly how that works (looking at you white people who say “but educate me”). I looked it up and omg. What in the actual hell but I believe. Comfortable ppl are very much like “not in my backyard you don’t!” There are articles and recent books. So I am still learning myself. Excellent video! Edited: I hit send too soon.

i cant believe people have been bothering black creators for recommendations. there are so many lists of books by black authors out there, it takes the same amount of time (or less) to search on youtube or google.

First of all, I love that you still say Captain Save-A-Hoe. It makes me miss you so much! Second of all, you are absolutely right that people can look up their own resources without having to make it the job of every person of color that they know to educate them. You don't owe it to anyone to spend your time bettering them when they should be working on bettering themselves instead of laying the burden on others to wake them up to reality. Racism is more than a political issue, it should be a moral issue for all of us. I don't know how people can be out here calling themselves Christians when they're staying silent on this issue. It should be morally reprehensible to all of us that black people are dying in the streets and still being shaken down by cops and paid less and treated differently. Silence is violence and anyone who is quiet about this now is not an ally. What is going on cannot be ignored. It has to be addressed. I'm sorry for the things that you've had to experience. I wish that we lived in a just world, and I'm trying to do what I can to make it more just. I have been signing petitions and I will be donating when Tony is off of his medical leave. I just want to say that I am grateful to you for posting this video and sharing your story and your perspective. I'm glad to know you and I miss you. Stay safe out there.
