One of the goals you might have for learning English is to get a job where your ability to speak the language is an asset. In this English lesson about work and jobs I'll help you learn many English words and phrases that are used to talk about work.
You'll learn the difference between "employee" and "employer", words like "overtime", and phrases like "come in early" and a lot more English job related vocabulary.
I hope you enjoy this English lesson about work and jobs.
⌛ Remember: Always watch the video two times. Once today with English subtitles off, and once tomorrow with the English subtitles on. This will reinforce the English you have learned!

I don´t understand the difference between to be fired and to be laid off. The difference is When you are fired it means you did something wrong and you are fired by your own mistake. When you are laid off it means you are fired not by your own mistake and you get money for it. Is it right?
