When you start a new line coming off the old lines at the end of the gridiron, you should use the points from the end of the gridiron so there isn't the dead track spot between the gridiron and your new tracks. There are the connection points already there from the gridiron and you can hook right in there

Personally, I like the way industry work. It's one more thing to be aware of. If I need a key industry at a strategic point in the game, then I need to plan for it and have the money to buy it when it comes available. If I miss out I pay the price.

Anakyn, around 12:00, you disconnected rail ines from Albany 2 to Albany. It feels as though you might overlook the rejoing of the lines. It will be easier to join the line as it has a wider approach now that you have restored the Canda-US Line.

I have taken to doing 2 track gridirons, almost exclusively. Most of the time that's faster (given 1 train at a time thrughput) though it sometimes means i have to make a junction outside the city to allow for crossover.

Same. I do six tracks with 3 gridirons. I use way points to dictate which two tracks I wa t that train to use. Runs like butter.

Not sure if you seen it or its been mentioned but the auctions do seem to go exceptionally high (as I think it might be a soft mechanic to entice you to keep a ton of money in reserve) However you will not see/receive the discount until after you have won the auction. My experience so far seem to be that unless I can take a bond out, I tend to miss actions due to rule of "If you have money spend it to make more"

I have seen this too [building tracks and one side won't go for no reason]. A solution I find works most of the time is baby step the second line around the curve and it usually works. Those 'gridiron's' are way too long over 4+ tracks. 10 miles [game] to lay one, when where I used to work as a train driver, more complex junctions are made in 1 mile over more tracks! lol

Were your personnel are concerned, it seems the max overall limit is 125%. It also seems the cheapest way to do it is to max out the cheapest item (training) to 200%, then take the 2nd cheapest item (usually Employee Welfare) and bump it up enough to get 125% total impact. With 200% on training, that is usually 120% on Employee Welfare.

The tracks get a little glitchy when tearing them out and rebuilding them, more so on the Xbox I believe, but you have to tear out further back sometimes and redo it all to get grids in. Sometimes it happens more than once on the same rebuild. I'm sure they will fix it eventually

It would be nice if they would introduce a mechanic to build the gridiron to the size you want *BEFORE* you build tracks.

WRT tracks.. You definitely need at least 4 terminals out of each side of the city. I gridiron all 4 together. Albany and Boston were the only cities I went higher than 4 terminals for (I had 6 in each of those). I did have issues getting freight through 2 warehouses and I had to fill each warehouse directly from the source and pass it through. I could not get the demand to pass through 2 warehouses. I am pretty sure it won't.

The warehouses in the cities is the issue. Fill the rural stations, preferably the ones with 2 goods already available making it 8 total with a warehouse. Feed 3-4 more outside goods to the warehouse and put the cities products in the warehouses too. Then send trains from rural warehouses full of all types of goods with single lines to 4 cities, feeding them and returning with goods from the cities to swap them between each other, making sure to mark the goods not to return except for what the city produces. You can do this with up to 3 city stations if needed, keeping the city stations running express trains only with all the upgrades from the restaurant and post offices.

I'll state it again.. Make sure you do the optional tasks before you complete all the main tasks 😊 I don't think if you keep playing it will change your score (it will allow you to keep playing, but the mission is over when you complete the main tasks) I did not get the 3 cities to 120k or 120k total for the region. I absolutely did take out a loan to buy that jerk's company though 😊 Since I got a CEO score I didn't care, but I'll probably do it again later to get all optional tasks.

Initially you had both of those stations connected together in Albany.. You didn't reconnect them in the rebuild (no idea if you need it)

I don't think reconnecting them mattered. I reconfigured the lines so the ones from the north went to the top station (I think).

I think having two sets of 4x gridirons meeting on the same four platforms is causing a lot of the queueing issues. I think when I get the game i'll operate a late-mission strategy of only connecting one end of any platform. 1-4 can go west, 5-8 can go east. Or a smaller version of the same idea. Gridiron queueing seems to be a bit of a hold up.

I'm currently in the 3rd campaign mission and so far they've had plenty of tasks, sometimes requiring a re-think as new tasks pop up. In the first RE the campaign missions felt more like an extended tutorial, each quick to do. In this one they are basically a set of scenarios, although they do introduce a few mechanics along the way..

Agreed. The two I've completed so far seemed more like RE DLC packs (lots of stuff to do) than RE campaign missions (quick hits / extended tutorial).

If I have understood the tutorial correctly, isn't it the case that New York will automatically get the goods it needs from the Albany warehouse without having to build an additional warehouse in New York itself? Or have I misinterpreted this? What about your competitor in New York? Will he also reap the benefits of the goods you bring to New York? Thank you for this educational episode.

Not sure about PC but on xbox you can pause the game at anytime by clicking on the red time button at the top, and still are able to utilize the map.

It took me 1.5 hours to get a single rail laid down from Boston to Evans Terminal, on slowest time speed; do I need to use a faster speed ? I want to get track laying faster, using topographical page . Help ??

The issue as I see it then is that this still doesn’t address the bottleneck further up where the two lines merge before the station and the trains are still backed up coming from Boston. Probably could consider removing the merge and connecting all 4 lines to take advantage of the capacity

Ps5 version needs better optimisation as videos stutter and gameplay framrate can be choppy feeling occasionally.

Performance is excellent on PC; however, I did try a bit of multiplayer and there was lots of lag. My fellow player said his internet was crap, so maybe that was the problem.

Gonna disagree with that analysis of the maint for Express and Freight vs all Any trains. The PROBLEM is two-fold: 1) if you are using warehouses, you do not run enough freight--as seen on your NYC trains. (Unless you add more trains, which deletes the tiny savings.) 2) The trains in this game try to space themselves out! So you keep looking and saying why doesn't he go? Well, it waits to make a gap. So this is important when you WANT to run passengers, as the dual trains are very much slowed when they carry a lot of cargo vs PAX and Mail, then it tries to re-space itself after a bit when he switched up the consist a bunch. As for your other question, yeah, I'd go at least 6 lines: 4 freight and then 2 for PAX. Then maybe another 2 for freight on warehouse duty to make a full 8 if needed. ;-p If you zoom in on Albany and look at what you did to the East side of it...um, you can make that a lot better just by having the lower stuff come in to line 3 and4 and NOT try and merge with the lines from the WH. Or rather, you used to have the upper WH connect to the lower one to pass stuff on but you deleted that bit...

Upon further reflection I agree with your disagreement about the cost of the trains. Auto trains are quite good for city to city trains, although i think dedicated passenger trains on dedicated tracks would be best.

The “gap” is 4 days, in my tests. The “T&T” section gives four days before passengers start walking away.

My opinion is overall the game is worst I've played yet of the trilogy senarios and campaign are very hard with very little time to do task characters are shity no tranaic mode but on positive note enjoy watching adekyn videos
