After watching your stream, bought it and beat it in 4 hours, incredible addictive and fun. I think if you keep matching during the course instead of matching after you encountered enemies or chests, you will definitely get much higher score.

Northern lion you can pair three even tiles in the same row in the in a vertical way by moving the single one to the right or left up or down depending on where it is and move left or right depending on where it is you don't have to make pairs only moving left right up and down

Here is a tip ryan, always look out for matches of Wood, stone, shields, and backpacks (Yes those are backpacks). If you are not constantly matching them then they take up most of your board and it fucks you.

Hey NL, did you ever play Puzzle Quest? After seeing how much you enjoyed this game, I would highly recommend that you try it out. It's also a match 3 game, but with a much bigger emphasis on the RPG aspect and slower, more tactical gameplay. If you decide to give it a try I would recommend picking up the first and imo best part of the series being PuzzleQuest: Challenge of the Warlords.

You should do more shields. When you're attacked you get pushed far back, and the more shields you have the less you fall back after being hit.

I like this game... I do feel it's a little harsh in terms of needing to be absolutely at the enemy/obstacle before an item or match will do anything. I've wasted items several times by trying to activate them as early as possible and it being just slightly too soon.

You're right, also stone, wood and backpack should be removed as soon as possible since they don't give any benefit.

I actually managed to beat the game 2 times. the first time I beat it, my hard drive had to be wiped. So as far as my computer knows, I only beat it once. I decided to use potions to get 10,000,000 points, hoping to get the "Drinking Problem" achievement. And it worked!

This game is good but quite short. I bought it yesterday, played for about 5 and a half hours and now I only have 1 achievement left. I got it for 4 dollars so it wasn't a bad purchase but It really depends on the person. Oh and NL said that he could see himself playing this for a long time. That is implausible entirely because the progress you make score-wise increases at an incredibly exponential rate.
