Also, some tips for the new players: 1. Melee is ready to use from the beginning, just use lmb without rmb. 2. Use said melee as much as possible. Bad guys circle and are hard to hit either way, but saving ammo is imporant. 3. Check all the secret rooms, you can spot one by seeing through the cracks in the walls and shoot them with any ranged weapon (+ explosives) 4. Craft new guns if you have extra. Autogun takes a lot of ammo though, unlike the nail gun would, but it takes up explosives. More!

I think this, of all his "let's look at"s is the most cohesive with NL's game choice for his channel as a whole. It's unpredictable, quirky, difficult and all that jazz. If anything should be a Let's Play, it should be this.

I was just thinking that, I can't unsee it. But that's actually the most efficient technique for doing the top-down field of view effect; you add black 3D walls on top of the level.

Just to let you know, you have a default melee attack without the tube. Just select some non-weapon and left click, and you will strike.

Hey, NL. Great video. Been playing a bit of this myself. HOWEVER, there is indeed an inherent melee attack. (Not just with the tube) Just left click without aiming (no right-click) while equipped with a weapon or such things as the tube. Hope this helps you and anyone else who wondered. :)

Also to add, they use lua opengl shaders. That is not bad graphics at all for a top down game. It is actually better than flash games in what can be done with them. Where you see this actually work is how the camera turns so fluently, the devs really deserve some props for getting that right.

After playing this, I found out that if you left-click without aiming, you'll attack with what looks like a knife. Glad that's the case, because I didn't find a tube until my second floor.

This game is a "roguelike top-down shooter" which "takes place in procedurally generated military research & training complex". Or well that is what it says on desura. Procedurally generated means randomly generated.

But they're not randomly made, they're predesigned. What they are is decided upon randomly for each level. There's a cache of possible maps that each level can have, and one is chosen each time a level is loaded.

The tube is not what he is using to attack. He is simply punching normally, which you can do with any item. Bought the game after seeing this video, and it's tons of fun (but very tough). I also think that there are actually 20 levels in the game, not 10.

I loooove this game! Fell in love with it the week of its release on Desura! Pro tips: -use melee as much as possible on the first 2 or 3 levels! - use teleglitches to suck your enemies into the void! - don't waste explosives on mobs, keep em for making grenades - make nailgun ASAP and use it for weaker enemies, closer range.
