I consider this one of the best kits in production. Lots of heads, and not just young caucasian, so many arms and options.

Agreed! Nice to see different ethnicities and age groups represented in the head options, it’s probably one of the most diverse kits I’ve seen from that angle.

I love Frostgrave, so cool to see you covering one of the plastic boxed sets! I've got a pretty big collection with several warbands and a few dozen wandering monster models and also winter-themed terrain and buildings. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the comment! If it’s multipart plastic, my goal is to eventually review it!

Looks like a lot of good options

Yeah absolutely, it’s a bits box’s dream. I keep finding cool bits that I know I’ll be glad to have years from now.
@yamichasiАй бұрын
You’re right on with the “combination” being the best way for these. If you’re a kitbasher then you NEED to get both boxes and you’ll have an insane amount of bits and potential
@Dan-ds8sfАй бұрын
Yep it’s pretty fantastic from an options standpoint, makes those old GW build-a-wizard boxes look very silly by comparison.

I feel like with that many options they could have given one more body per sprue like the knights have. Still looks like a good buy and definitely feels more useful as an accessory pack imo especially with that cultist version, can definitely see just see taking the more gnarly heads and daggers and making necromancers out of a sprue of cultist.
@Dan-ds8sfАй бұрын
Yeah that’s exactly right, I think this box would be worth it even if it didn’t include any bodies at all - it’s all about those bits.

Loved this 🔥🤘🔥

From this box I was able to build Tiffany Aching, Hermione Granger ,the Evil Queen from Snow White(hag form) and a few more recognisable characters such a versatile set.

Cool ideas! I agree I found it to be incredibly versatile, and I’m finding myself using the bits on plastic models from tons of different manufacturers.

Good kit, but they could give us more for the price.
@Dan-ds8sfАй бұрын
Actually the price doesn’t bother me, even 4 wizards for £17.50 is decent when you consider the options you’re getting here. It’s more an issue of not needing 8 wizards, or, if I am after that, I likely want even more variety in arms and bodies. Like I’d take a more expensive box at their normal £22 price point if it included one each of the Wizard I and Wizard II boxes.
@calvanoni5443Ай бұрын
@Dan-ds8sf Give us 20 & all the fixings, others can still just get a sprue if they want, but these are affordable & versatile.
@mycatistypingthis5450Ай бұрын
I do agree there aren't that many bodies, but one of these boxes can go a long way to give variety to other models. I gave box with a sprue of these and a sprue of Wizards 1 to half a dozen new painters so they will always have options to kitbash other models.

Recently GW released new Old World Empire wizards. They are so busy and overly detailed, that it seems they target only GD entry level painters. The clothing/robes that flows is clunky and fat. It looks off and cartoony. These more simplistic wizards are great miniatures. Especially with all the options.
@Dan-ds8sfАй бұрын
I’m also a big fan of simplicity, but then again I’m also a fan of fantasy that is grounded in a more realistic setting and aesthetic. I see a lot of people criticizing old GW models for being too plain/simple, whereas I find modern GW models to be terrible because they’re all so busy, animated, and covered with accessories. Different strokes for different folks, and I’m grateful to have so many GW alternatives in the multipart plastic world these days.
