I had an idea what if you collect all your wood shavings that you get from making lures and turn it into a solid block using resin or glue and make a lure from that
@TreysArt5 ай бұрын
That would be a cool idea. I will start saving up my wood shavings. 👍🏼

I made that myself using a very low rpm motor. You can get a rotisserie motor on Amazon if you would like to build your own.

Some Companies are starting to catch on to the modern advancements of Crankbaits. There was a scientific study on what bass see in terms of colors and what they found out was that distinct 2 tone colors attracted bass to strike more. To help them see the two tone color they tested all types of crankbaits and the ones with a flat top created a tighter wobble and giving off two different colors better enabling bass to see it and strike it more often and see it from a much further distance again because of the two tone color it can distinguish that it is food from longer distances. Which is why you're starting to see the top companies take this research and create more exclusive flat top crankbaits. I don't even really use round top crankbaits anymore because of this study. Little food for thought.

Yes they have dichromatic vision and I think it’s only red and green they see the best. But there’s so many variables when it comes to getting a bass to bite. Water clarity and condition plays a big role. I’ve always been a fan of less noisy baits that have more of a natural swim action. Their lateral line is going to allow them to pick up on anything in the water and I just feel like outside of predatory behavior, loud rattles and clanking noises just aren’t going to be a good option as they aren’t natural sounds for the fish. Plus I feel like they hear all that a lot louder than we realize. Those are just my thoughts on it. I’m always willing to experiment and most of the time when I’m making my lures I opt for doing something random just to see what I come up with.

@@TreysArt I'm with you on creating stuff I too am a custom bait maker as my main occupation. But I'm in the realm of making soft plastics and terminal at this moment. Yeah I prefer a one knocker bead over multiple beads or no beads at all. Multiple beads I feel like works best this time of the year since it annoys them more than anything and they aren't hitting the lure out of hunger but more so out of frustration they want to stun the target and move it instead of wanting to eat it.
