I have made three “historical “ temperature blankets. Two were Tunisian and the other on my knitting machine. I liked the idea of having all the temps before I started. They were so fun to make, although very time consuming. I made two anniversary blankets for my two sisters and one for my nephew’s birth year. I like your idea of just doing a weekly average. If I make another I may go that route. It will be fun to see it grow!

Your blanket will be really pretty. I like the chevron. Today I seen that somebody made a temperature snake and I thought it was a good idea also.

I love the idea of doing a historical temperature blanket to commemorate a special year. Thanks for describing the colors to those of us who can't see color. It really helps me to hear what colors other people put together because I wouldn't know if I could put all those colors together or not. I would love to do a historical temperature. Blanket sometime or a special temperature blanket for a special year. However, because I am color blind, I would need help from somebody to with the colors. Looking forward to following along with your progress.

I made a temperature scarf a few years ago for my sister who lived in Ohio at the time. I used the high and lows for Wednesday’s. It came out nice.

Love that your husband had a good idea for the temperature blanket. It shows that both of you had an input in it. Can't wait to see it made.

Great tip for the valleys and the peaks I'm going to use that.

I mainly had to do it for the black sections. Now that I am in the colored sections, it is not as hard to see.

Hello, just found your channel. I'm also doing a historical Temperature blanket. It will be for our 50th Anniversary, 1975. It will be a sampler, so each month will be a different stitch.. I got the temperatures from a site call weather underground. This is my 2nd Temperature Blanket. The last one I did I followed Crochet with Tiffany and we did every other day. This year it will be every day but we are using DK yarn. I got my colors from Pinterest. Love your colors. Have fun with your blanket.

I'm thinking about doing a temperature blanket too. But, I haven't decided how I want to do it. I tried to look up the temps for the year I was born and there wasn't any information where I was looking. I am going to try some other websites and see if I can find it. I love the colors you have chosen for your blanket. It will be beautiful.

It’s going to look great. I did one a few years back it was by Toni from TL yarn crafts. It was 1row a day and you made a square its one of my favorite pieces.
