Thanks so much! I have watched those videos as well but wasn't sure if the butane torch would get hot enough for this! I'm tempted to use the propane torch you mentioned as well but maybe once I get the hang of this all! I, of course am not knowledgable enough to roll my own silver sheets so I'll have to buy it at rio grande. Thanks again so much! I love your videos!
@LeslieKailVillarreal9 жыл бұрын
Danielle Blakely Danielle there isa video n rolling your own sheet, but you need a rolling mill. Throw out the butane torch they are really useless. Get yourself a propane torch till you can afford an oxy propane. Just an update.. you can buy a propane can that already has a pencil torch tip that comes with it for about $14, better than the swirl flame tip that i showed in my video. you will have to light it with a lighter or dither. You just need to buy a separate hose. www.homedepot.com/p/Bernzomatic-UL100-Basic-Propane-Torch-Kit-334458/203665003

you need to get a perfect join.. Use a miter Jig or a guillotine shear to make sure your cuts are perfectly straight. and use HARD solder on the seam..make sure you have no light to be see through the join before you solder it. practice making rings out of 18 or 20 g copper till you get it ! good luck!
