Greetings! I hope you are all doing well. I'm doing my best to get back to regular uploads after a Summer hiatus/break (working on some other projects, time with family and friends, etc.). This one is just about going through the steps of making a ringtone sound on the MakeNoise 0-Coast semi-modular synth routed through the Walrus Audio Slo reverb pedal. I do it on an iPad in the video but it's pretty much the same on an iPhone (if you have any issues leave a comment and I'll see if I can help). Thanks a lot for watching!
ps I normally put something after the OUTRO but didn't really have anything that came to mind this time. So, I just put a clip of something(see below) from my other channel (@undulationsasmr).
TIMELINE
00:00 STARTER
The classic Kastle 1.5 default melody (slightly jazzed up) makes a pretty cool ringtone.
00:14 INTRO
Discussion of the task at hand. LOL, I thought that the fill lighting would negate the hat shadow in this shot. Not so much. That hat is one from KUHL that I bought a couple of years ago in a local outdoor gear shop. The guy that sold it to me was really excited about the hat, something to do with the number of panels. I always think "I guess it really is a nice design." when I wear it, but that brim is XXXXXL.
03:04 PATCHING THE SYNTH, CAPTURING THE SOUND
Discussion and capture of a patch on the 0-Coast.
06:54 IMPORTING THE FILE, MAKING THE RINGTONE
However you feel about GarageBand, it's A-OK for this purpose! (note: the first music I ever released online - for an iPhone puzzle game - was made in GarageBand. I didn't really know anything about DAW choices or such at the time, but I learned a lot in the process of making like 10 different 30-second loops for the game.)
13:53 OUTRO
Thanks for watching!
14:53 ENDER
Random, but this is a post that I made for @julesasmr who very kindly made a collage video of ASMR content submitted by her subscribers.
