Just a heads up y'all! You don't have to use a mixer when you make the kick. You can just use a second VCA because they are the same thing essentially. Many ways to skin a cat. 😁 Happy patching!

Right on! I'll totally make some more with just the defaults. In all of my videos, I only use free modules so if you see any you like you can always download them from the VCV Rack Library. 🤘😄

for the kick you don't need Mixer, it is enough with one more VCA. for the snare i added NOIS nad VCO(sine) in CVMIX (also from VCV fundamentals) and it produced closer to real snare sound.. cheers! (ninja edit: also I should read comments before commenting. maybe??? )

really cool thanks for this! beginner question here... at approx 47seconds, your vca out is making 3 connections to modules off screen... would love to know what those are! guessing one is the audio in.

Great question! It is split into 4. I am sending it to the right and left input of the stock audio module and the right and left input of the stock record module. I record all of the audio for the videos directly in VCV Rack so in this case I pulled two sets of cables from that VCA. You really only need to pull two cables and plug them into the left inputs, but it is a force of habit for me to set the audio in stereo.
