I had to laugh when you were talking about all the junk you were collecting. My house was full of stuff, junk mail, cereal boxes, cracker boxes, etc. I literally had myself surrounded in my craft room by all the junk. I finally came to the realization that we get so much of that stuff if I really need it, I can collect it again in a day of mail or feeding the family. I too have just started throwing it all away. My craft room is cleaner, I have more room and don’t feel so overwhelmed trying to use all the junk up! I was so happy to hear you saying you were doing it too. I think all paper crafters have to inevitably come to that conclusion sooner or later. Thanks for the entertainment as well as the instruction and for sparking ideas in my feeble brain. Love your channel.

Margreth, this was a great video! I already save window envelopes and some packaging paper, and now thanks to you, I’ve got to start looking critically at this type of packaging. I’m not going to mention it to my husband, however, because he already rolls his eyes when he sees the stuff I’m saving lol. He keeps telling me to stop saving and start making!! Lol. I’m the same. I keep thinking “Oo great shape” or “I like that pattern on the label” or “the colour of that cardboard is nice (ready meal cardboard sleeves) & keep piling it up. I need to dedicate one box to it & no more, and start actually creating with it. That’s the important thing. I have a zillion ideas & projects I plan to do, but must get off my derrière & start 🤦‍♀️ Luckily only my dog complains

My boys and husband think I’m crazy for all the things I save. I have a baby at home (2 months) so I can’t really sit and create rn, but I can save and stash things for when I can start creating. Nice to hear when others share the same and look at “trash” a bit differently. TFS. ❤

I love your accent and banter style. I doubt you have Sonic, but I’m sure you have some fast food with drink carriers. Fans here in the US know Sonic, so here’s another source of trash junk. Their carriers are nice big pieces of wonderful thin cardboard that can make all kinds of backing for old book and magazine pages.
