You could have a look at early Milltek manifolds, as the primary pipe diameter is closer to the cylinder head size than most other performance manifolds, while still having a long primary length.

Interesting. Did they ever make a 4-2-1 design? I do actually have one of those at the shop but it’s the traditional 4-1 which is why I didn’t use it.

MY cooper shifted from 115 to 123.4 cv (hp) with an obx header (very similar to yours), 200cpi kat and supersprint catback. The gain was from medium to top rpm, with a little bit loss up to 4k Rpm

Sounds very similar. I think I’m going to try making my own header with smaller diameter primaries next.

Between the cat and the new manifold, I would fit a flex pipe. On one of our cars we, didn't and was breaking flanges each time on the track.

I still may do that. Since I have stiff powerflex drivetrain mounts and the rest of the exhaust is on rubber hangers I’m going to hinge my bets on it being ok for now. I considered it originally but Jorge convinced me it would be ok so we’ll see what happens 🤙🏻

I have powerflex drivetrain mounts and the exhaust is still hung on rubber hangers, so it should be fine, but if it does come apart I will put a flex pipe in it. It was a consideration.

I don’t think so, I’ll probably be using it on another car
