Let's Make YUMMY Pizza Pockets with My Nostalgia MyMini Sandwich Maker!!!

Here is the video I promised you - how to make pizza pockets with your Nostalgia MyMini Sandwich Maker (or ANY of the mini or full-sized sandwich makers).
I was GOING to make this a Versus video between These HOMEMADE pizza pockets AND Hot Pockets...but I decided that just would NOT be a FAIR competition (sorry - NOT sorry Hot Pockets!!!)...
These are so easy, inexpensive, FAST and DELICIOUS!!!

We make our pockets/pizza buns the same i also put a tiny bit of cheese and then lay the pepps before the rest handful of mozzi🤍❤️ ....i grew up with a similar sammich press 💓 ohhh the nostalgia..i love that its the name of the grill...mmm😊 amazing! Love this video

Just got a sandwich mini for $2 at a yard sale it's in perfect condition. I cooked a ham and cheese used a skillet to catch any overflow. Took it outside hosed it off hung it to dry. You are right tasty. Easy too. On a second note people if you have a 750 watt inverter you can use this in your car . It's below 600 watts !

I always check my pepperoni too! I just ordered one of these. A good tip for cleaning these mini, or regular grills and griddles is to use a small spray bottle and spritz it while hot and then just wipe with a paper towel. I saw this on another video, but I have done it.

@@erikshappywife I received my mini sandwich maker last week and have used it quite a bit. It works very well, my only concern is the locking mechanism, it's seems to be made of weaker plastic, so I don't know how long that will hold up. But in using it I have come up with more cleaning tools other than the spray bottle and paper towel. I have included in my "tool kit" some cotton swabs and Dollar Tree toothbrush! I find them both very useful when cleaning all of the books and crannies on the plates. I don't know how many reviews I've read with people complaining (whiney voice) Ohhh, it's just sooo hard to cleaaaan! All of those little nooks and crannies. I can't do iiiit! Well, if you had a brain, some cotton swabs, a paper towel, a Dollar Tree toothbrush and a spray bottle it wouldn't be! 😁

Yes, cleaning is not that hard...I don't know why people complain. As long as you don't allow the cheese to harden on the maker, it is pretty easy to clean. I am glad you are enjoying your maker 😀❤️

I hope you like the pizza pockets. They also make GREAT fruit turnovers. Just butter the bread like usual, then fill them with fruit pie filling of your choice and cook in the sandwich maker (do not overfill or you will have a MESS!) when they are cooked, dust the outside of the turnovers with powdered sugar... YUMMY!!! :o)

I suggest using a Silicone Spatula to scoop stuff out of your sammich maker and to clean out the bits while it is hot. Overtime if you use metal implements you will scratch up your non stick surface,

Glad you liked it!! It is a great little maker. You should try the fruit turnovers, too. Make then the same way, only use your favorite pie filling inside...and when finished and while they are still warm, sprinkle with some powdered sugar...YUMMY!!! :o)

I had one in the late 80s. My Grandma taught me how to use it so I could cook my own food at home. My sister who I lived with after my mom died was an OCD bitch who wouldn't let me cook bc she didn't want me to have any skills home maker or otherwise. She packed the sandwich maker away after yelling at me the first time I used it. This past couple years she been trying to take over my son's life so we're kinda not speaking though I've tried to suck it up and reach out to her. Anyways my Grandma used to always get little coffee cakes too. I saw them on the shelf at walmart started crying like Grandma miss u so much. Then once I stopped crying I saw this product so yes it's very nostalgic for me happy tears

I would use Garlic powder instead of garlic salt to spice up your pizza pocket bread. I have high BP and salt is the devil, my heart guy at the VA told me so.

Uh oh...did I say garlic salt? Oops!!! I ONLY use garlic powder and onion powder, NEVER the salt versions because I too have high BP and cannot control the amount of salt as easily using the salted versions. I just sprinkle on a little sale if needed and use the garlic and/or onion powders to my heart's content :o) Thank you for mentioning this, it is so important!!!

I wish you would have told us how long it was in there. I tried a grilled cheese and it turned out very hard and dry. I followed directions and used cooking spray on the cooking surfaces.

I don't time it...but I think I only leave it in for maybe 3-4 minutes. Sometimes I check it after just a couple of minutes if I am making it for the grandkiddos because they don't like theirs very brown.
