Hullo Emma, I do enjoy watching you mix colors! It is never to much to see others working to mix and there is always new ways to learn! Changing brands will also give different results! it is always a good idea to mix and match before painting unless you know your paints like some pro's I know.... I still make a practice mix area and I have only been painting and mixing watercolors for about 35 years. I thought I knew everything about my paints, then the manufacture changed the recipe! So I always start mixing and it is a good warm-up too!

Going back to basics is always refreshing. Don't get frustrated thinking you don't have good paint. The colors you can mix are endless regardless of the paint you use. When I don't know what I want to paint, I just spend some time in 'Color Therapy'. Remember to make notes on the colors you want to use in the future (color recipe). One cool thing, add orange and green; what color do you get? I'm not telling.

You got some beautiful colors out of those painrs!! I can't believe it!! Wow. Now you inspired my to get out W&N cotman paints.
