Let's Paint a Sunset in Primary Colours in Watercolour | Loose Landscape | Colour Theory Fun

In this video, I am painting a simple sunset scene in primary colours in watercolour. I am using a split primary palette (the warm and the cool variations of each primary colour) to create it.

As always, thank you. I will try this today. Do you have a video showing how you switch from color to color? Do you always clean the brush thoroughly before you switch to a color? I always worry about the paper losing wetness during the time I clean the brush and mix other colors.

Thank you for watching, and I hope you have lots of fun following along with this sunset landscape. I don't include my palette in the video as it's quite large and it would take up a lot of screen space. I have two water jars that are next to each other - first I very quickly rinse the brush in the "dirty" one and then I dunk it into the "clean" one to make sure the brush is indeed clean enough. It only takes a second or two really, and I am not very thorough with the rinsing of the brush, so the paints on my palette are often slightly "contaminated" with the remnants of the paint on my brush, but it doesn't really bother me. I also use quite a lot of water on my paper so it doesn't have enough time to dry out while I am mixing colours. Hope this helps!
