Loved the idea of “playing” in 4 quadrants for one session. I’m going to try that to help me loosen up and not get lost in details on one painting.

It is a very fun practice for loosening up and for not getting too focused on the details. My fav way to play in my sketchbooks for sure. Have fun, and thank you for watching this video!

I love it when you work in quadrants and we can compare and contrast what's going on. It's so instructive.

I feel lucky to have turned on KZbin about thirty minutes after you posted this ... I love your work ... Watching this right away, and now that my gardens are frozen for Winter here I'll have enough time to practice painting like this. Thank you!

Absolutely beautiful. I must try working in multiples, I can see how it might help me to not over-work my paintings. Thank you!

Thank you so much! Working on multiple scenes at the same time is such fun and it does help not to overwork our paintings. Can be done with larger pieces too - I always have a few unfinished paintings to work on and I move between them during my painting sessions. It helps with the creative flow, especially when I get stuck on what to add to a scene next… Enjoy!

Yes finally ! I have only recently taken watercolours up again and your style is my go to ,absolutely . Do you work with music yourself or add it on later ? As I watch I don't want any sound ,just to see your expertise as new worlds emerge !

Thank you for watching 😊 How wonderful you have picked up watercolour again, hope you are having lots of fun playing with this beautiful medium ✨ I often paint with music playing as I love how the rhythm of the music encourages my brush strokes and I believe this brings more energy into my work. I add the music to my videos when I edit them later, but it’s not the exact same music I listen to when I paint. We all have a very different relationship with music so thankfully there is that mute button if you find it distracting 😊
