OMGoodness. Thank you for sharing your awesome skills. .. I found you the other day and after a few minutes I decided to try painting the carrots. I've dabbled in watercolor for about a year now off and on but just didn't seem to be getting anywhere. I went through all of your website found the paint along with carrots and I'm hooked. Ordered my box and a few other things. Can't wait for the watercolor to come back into stock and I particularly want the denim apron! this is the first of anything that I've painted that I really feel I could put a frame around and put up in my kitchen. It's so lively and charming and I didn't know I could do it.

My first @letsgomakeart tutorial! Many people kept referencing their tutorials in the Watercolor- Beginners and Beyond FB group that I'm a part of and so I thought I'd give them a try. Wow! So supportive and give a lot of tips along the way. Thank you! I can t wait to do another one and learn from you!! I'm doing these on these mixed media cards, which I discovered aren't the best for watercolor (at least the way I was used to using watercolor) but I'm really happy with how this turned out on this mixed media card paper. 💓 Thank you for your tutorials! #letsmakeart #watercolorjourney #beginnerwatercolor #thankful That's what I posted on IG with my painting above! I laughed when your camera partner said people get BENT out of shape and you kept rolling with it even though you confessed later you were like - whoah that is a bit harsh 😆 . 💓

This was our first box and the carrots were awesome! Just fyi, the taproot is just the "hair" at the bottom, the carrot body is caked the storage root, and the "hairs" on the side are the lateral roots (lateral means side), and that's why the scars are called lateral roots scars. Can't wait to do the eggs. We assess behind, lol.

Thanks for sharing your videos. This was my first real attempt at watercolor. One question I have how much water to you need when painting the basic shape? I had a little waviness near the middle of the paper, which made some of the paint puddle and ruin some of the blooms I had going. I'm using Fluid Cold Press Watercolor Paper - 140 lb. Thanks.

Beautiful! I assume the Dandelion liquid watercolors are dyes and maybe not lightfast? How do you protect your work from UV light? I love the colors!
@LetsMakeArt4 жыл бұрын
Yes, exactly. Sarah scans most of her work into the computer to keep a record of it and often has them printed. You can also put your paintings under UV protectant glass or spray with a protectant. When using the spray make sure to test it first. It does come in glossy and matte.

Anyone know what the common names of the colors they use are? I’m using my own pan and tube sets (Winsor and newton, koi Sakura, + Paul Rubens) and having trouble figuring out what colors to use. Like is Tahoe blue close to pthalo blue? And amethyst looks like ultramarine but it’s hard to tell!

That constant dialogue with the off camera guy is annoying and off-putting. As the viewer, it makes me feel like I’m not included. As if, you are painting with another person, not the audience. I have tried your channel before and quit watching for that reason - you dismiss the audience. I wanted to watercolor carrots and did a search. It came up with your video. I saw your pretty carrot watercolor and decided to give it another try. Maybe your film format would be different. Nope. I closed out the video.
