Lightning Gods and Shuten Doji are both gorgeously designed bosses. They are nightmares on higher difficulties though. Congrats beating them handily. About the random enemies at the start of the mission, I think Hellish Hag and Underworld Soldier are both from Yomi, the japanese underworld. So my guess is that in lore, the underworld is creeping into the real world at this location thanks to Doman's evil spirit.
