Best game ever - I allow adults to have at least one pass if they pick out a card and just can't describe the word that's on there (they can put that card aside and try the next card, if they find that one equally difficult then they can either swap it for the other one they had rejected or they just have to go for it and do their best to describe it) With kids - I let them reject 3 or 4 cards but at the end of their turn, look at what they rejected and briefly talk about ways they could have possibly describe the words

It's our favourite game in our house. When our kids were young, we used the kids cards for them, and the adults used the original ones. Now they are 15 and 18 and play the adult cards. They play really well, and it's always the game they pick on game nights.

An excellent introduction and summary. I'm heading out this evening to play a round of 'Articulate' at the house of some friends. I had never heard of it before and had been a little apprehensive - but now I'm really looking forward to it. Many thanks indeed.

They should bring out booster packs for different age groups so if you're playing with your kids, you draw from the pack suited to their age group. That would make it better & more fun for the whole family :-)

I have to adapt this game for a university project with molecular cell biology topics instead, without having played the game myself. Why this game? Because it's a group project and someone else convinced everyone to do this even though I had come up with other ideas. Noone is doing anything though and I don't want to fail, so I've resorted to doing it myself. My point? Thank you for this explanation on how this freaking game is played. I wouldn't be able to do this project without you and sorry for the rant. PS. I think I might use the spinner for whenever a team has landed on the spade tile.

If your own team player gets the answer on a white space - how do you proceed with your extra turn? Do you move forward one space then run through reading cards from that category (trying to answer as many as possible as per your usual turn)?
@sj4601622 жыл бұрын
This is my question aswell. Did you find an answer? I wondered if you are only alliwed to answer once and then move to the colour of that question...

On the white / spade spaces. If your team is the team describing and your team guesses it. Then you basically take your actual turn (using the timer again) guessing the ones with the spade in them on the card. And like normal, move the amount of spaces for the cards you get correct. If the opposing team guesses when your team is describing, they have basically stopped you moving for that turn and it becomes their turn. But even if the opposing team stops you initially. When it's your turn again you take your go as normal, guess all the ones with the spades using the timer as normal. Does that make sense?

To finish the game, do you do an all play for the nature/green category? Or is it a spade all play?

When you land on red/yellow and move people back/yourself forward do you then go ahead with articulating the red/yellow categories as well? It says in the rules "On the next turn the ACTION or RANDOM entries are used as appropriate"... I don't get what this means

Thats a good question. I have a question about the black and white spade card...if you answer it correctly do you move one space, or do you move to the colour of that spade question?
