@@Yesterzine that's not what the objective of corporate consolidation is. It's a many armed beast where each arm acts different, but all carry the same message. Now IGN pretty much get every top hit in a Google search across its portfolio for gaming news, employees are made redundant where there is duplication, all singing from the same hymn sheet. Slowly, insidiously, the new direction of these sites consolidates, until the sites themselves are closed and money goes up as there's only one major site to go to. IGN as a corporate beast don't care about individual subscribers or traffic as it is now; they want all the traffic, ad revenue and sponsorship in the future.

Probably controversial, but I always thought Ian could jump over and join Ellen in Outside Xtra now that Luke's left there. (i love you Zoe, and please never stop your cozy/cursed streams because i love them and would watch them even if you set up a personal youtube to play them for us) but Ian thrives when he has someone to play off in video's, and he and Ellen would have some great chemistry. lol. I hope we get to see some more of Ian and Zoe together in streams at some point, I miss the chaotic energy.

(See the difference in those type of videos here, you can see the Elden Ring DLC review versus the Let's Play Alien Isolation with Aoife and Ian where the banter is not limited to the game and its topic) but nice try, toll comment.

Replacing Ian and Zoe for holding up for their principles of not wanting to give airtime to games that are problematic due to the content, or because the devs are problematic, is wrong. The video team has always had a strong voice against injustice, and they were allowed to do their jobs without compromising those beliefs, and IGN obviously doesn't care about that, which I'm absolutely disgusted by. Never thought I'd be un-subbing from this channel. IGN, let Ian and Zoe cook, instead of doing this shit. We're here to watch Eurogamer, not IGN. You have your own channel to promote this shit on.

Whatever upper management made the decision that this video would go up, has little to no understanding of the fans and should probably not be allowed to make those sort of decisions going forward. The fans are here for Ian and Zoe, not the eurogamer branding. If Ian and Zoe jump ship and do their own thing, they WILL take the fans with them. Just look at the Escapist. They pissed off their video team, the video team left to form second wind, and now Second wind videos regularly get 10x the views of the content that the escapist has put out with new presenters.
